Midi Guitar feature stopped working? (SOLVED)

Hey I think something weird happened... Just the other night I was using Kontakt just fine, but suddenly it stopped recieving any Midi Data and wouldn't put out any sound, however when I would reload an old project it could still load those libraries and play them fine. Now, I managed to fix this with a Kontakt 4 update......... BUT... Now, for some reason EEG's Midi Guitar is no longer working. I have 6 Midi tracks set up, The Low D string being the 1st Midi Channel, and the High E string being the 6th. I have My preset loaded, set to omni + groups, and I have the Midi Guitar feature activated. When I play my tracks, I can see that Kontatk is recieving the Midi Data, but no sound is heard. It works on Automatic, and it even works on the E string, A, string, etc... options.

This is how I've always set it up, but now it isn't working, maybe I'm forgetting something really obvious? =P

Anyways, thanks for the help!

Also, I noticed something else, when I would have the Blues Mute set to a keyswitch (In the Lead Engine), and as I would play the track it would play fine, and if I was to change the tone to "Neck" during playback, the track would mess up and instead of play the chords and the proper muted chords, it would start playing a single note with weird mutes in random places. I wouldn't be able to fix it so I would have to close the preset and re-load it and it would work fine again, but I can live with this... I need the Midi Guitar feature to work!

As for the MIDI guitar support, Kontakt 4 has been making some changes lately which will require me to rescript the way the MIDI channels are detected. That's another reason why I'm upgrading Evolution Guitar to Kontakt 4, to prevent future incompatibilities like this. In the meantime, I'll look at the script and see what it would take to make a temporary fix for Kontakt 4.

Ah, I see! That would be great Greg, but no rush! :)

Did you get a chance to check it out Greg? :)

Would you mind if I sent you the "blank preset" NKI, and then you can let me know if it fixes the MIDI guitar problem, or is there a different specific preset you'd like me to start out with?

I'm okay with that, as long as it means being one step closer to fixing the feature I use most =P

Sure--here's the patch for Kontakt 4. Let me know if this fixes the MIDI guitar mode (you'll have to switch the string selection from "automatic" to "MIDI guitar").

Let me know, and if it works on your end I'll convert the rest of the patches right away.

Sorry, I took me a little while to finish, but here are all the patches recompiled with this K4 MIDI guitar capability: http://www.orangetreesamples.com/downlo ... itarK4.rar

Thanks much for this Greg.
I've been a bit lax in my testing pursuits as of late.
Many things going on.
Looking forward to finally trying out the midi guitar functionality.

Let me know any requests for features/functionality when it comes to MIDI guitars, for the Kontakt 4 update I'm working on. I don't have a MIDI guitar to test the new engine on, so let me know if either of you would have the time and inclination to help out.

I can try to lend a hand.

I had the same problem with the MIDI Guitar option not working and these patches fixed the problem. Might I suggest adding these patches to the EEG downloads, or at least putting them in a sticky thread so they're easier to find?
