I am very sure that some years ago I found a very good emulation
of a 4 operator fm synth that was near the Ymaha TX81Z.
And it had many of the original presets.
Unfortunately I lost that plug and I cannot remember the name of it.
Can anybody help me?

Is it Ganymede?

There's this for Pluggo on Mac:

The only other thing I can think of is Phantom by discoDSP, but that's more of a DX21/100 emulator, but still 4-op like the TX81z.

Ganymede is a very interesting synth, but with a very different routing system than TX81Z, ...and works with 3 operators as far as i remember,(instead of the 4)

this really gets extremly close, also to the dx series. imo the best fm emulation of these synths, and it imports _all_ the .sys files from the tx/dx series. it's totally underrated.

I do not know the original synth, but I remember a beauty called Panzertank by Land of Cockaigne http://free-plugin-list.com/plugin.php?id=134
It's not available anymore, but I have it, if this is what you are looking for

Ooh yes, that was a lovely synth. Really liked the GUI. His other synths were good too, e.g., Oberon.

Many thanks to all your help.
FM heaven seems to be the best choice because it can convert Yamaha banks.

Now I am serching for a "best of" selection of DX7/TX81Z banks.
I found thousens of banks in the internet.
But I have not the time to listen 100000 or more presets.
Does anybody knows a "best of DX7" or "best of TX81Z" selection?
