Got the same email with the same result. A little bit confusing...davide37 wrote:I've received the "special offer" e-mail but the ShareIt price is still showing as 189 euro rather than 150 euro with the "special offer" discount. I've sent an e-mail to Marcus. IMHO 189 euro is too much, but 150 is more bearable.

Just what I expected. A little too much for me right now though.

No. I don't remember exactly how it was worded, but Markus has stated that running promotional sales is disrespectful to customers who paid full purchase price and devalues the software.abstractcats wrote:PS: Has any one ever seen an Xmas sale from Tone2?

OK, so i understood the offer right...Orbit-50 wrote:Yeah, the special offer is ElectraX at $199.99 with a free copy of BiFilter.
To be honest i have no need for a filter plugin at the moment. I am satisfied with the D-Pole filter...

Thanks for the info, I agree with the idea on the side of loyalty to customers who paid full price, as it very irritating when my phone company offers new customers a discount but leaves out existing customers. As for devaluing, I believe I disagree on that point. Thanks againOrbit-50 wrote:No. I don't remember exactly how it was worded, but Markus has stated that running promotional sales is disrespectful to customers who paid full purchase price and devalues the software.abstractcats wrote:PS: Has any one ever seen an Xmas sale from Tone2?

I was hoping to get similar discount that Synapse did for orion users in case of Dune. Little bit dissapointed...A: Faithful customers will get an email with a special offer.

It sounds great, and I'd love to make a shitload of presets for it, but there's no way I can justify the price just to do so... well, at least until "ttoz" (accidentally) buys it, experiences buyers remorse, and re-sells it to ME (under an assumed name) for half priceabstractcats wrote: Sad to not see an intro price though![]()

Yikes, if I hit the purchase button, it doesn't give me the dollar price since I'm in Canada, it actually converts from Euros, charging me 280 dollars! Our dollar is about on par with the american dollar but it wants to charge 80 extra dollars. Nearly 300 bucks is outrageous...
Just received the newsletter. So the special offer is a free filter? No thanks. So no discount for gladiator owners then. huh.
Well I must say though, not only does this synth sound very good (especially those awesome filters!), but it really is ridiculously light on cpu, which is amazing.
I wish there were more single layer presets though. The layered ones sound nice but wouldn't be something I'd use. It would be good if the presets were split into synth presets and layered presets. This is why I don't like the layered thing. I always want to work in the first layer since this would be mapped, but sometimes there a great patch on another synth layer, so have to copy over. Would be nice to just go through presets of a single layer.
Also, holy shit the demo is annoying! Are they trying to discourage people from buying this? I've actually been taken to the website 6 times trying it out for 20 minutes (looking for settings also keeps taking me to the website). And 10 minutes? What the hell? Why would they make it so horrible to try?
Overall, even though it sounds even better than I expected, it went from a sure buy for me to a 'probably not', mainly due to price, but also demo restrictions of not being able to try resynthesis or sample handling.

With a license transfer fee of €19,99 each. Now that's a good example of instant devaluation of a productjazztard wrote:yeah, I suppose a lot of people will be selling their new toy in the marketplace not more than two weeks from now. life has a funny side to it, sometimes...Shabdahbriah wrote: well, at least until "ttoz" (accidentally) buys it, experiences buyers remorse, and re-sells it to ME (under an assumed name) for half price![]()

Which is exactly why i will not support any company that charges for licence transfers..don't care who they are, i mean how hard is to just swap details FFSNielzie wrote:With a license transfer fee of €19,99 each. Now that's a good example of instant devaluation of a product

I'm really REALLY glad I haven't downloaded this... I would be absolutely LIVID if I were subjected to that kind of inane crap.Echoes in the Attic wrote:... They (apparently) have no experience with old video games that would knock you back to the begining if you died, and the back-lash of exasperated/hate-filled users who resented THAT mindless inconvenience...Echoes in the Attic wrote:And 10 minutes? OR, they are simply confident enough in the number of people who are willing to pay the "need-it/gotta-have-it-NOW" premium for it, and those who are not, are of little immediate consequence, as the inevitable hyperbole will lure-them-in, eventually??? OR, maybe they feel overly protective to the point of pre-emptively shooting themselves in the foot???
Dunno... but I can easily spend 20-minutes just LOOKING at the interface of something "new" to me. Studying it. Scrolling through the menues, etc. When I can't (e.g. not allowed to) I get pissed-off.
