Install it in Sandboxie, that's what I'm going to do. I'm sure Japanese businessmen will be in various hidden folders, as it was in Galididtiator.

Very well stated. The only thing more valuable then money is time, a person can make millions of dollars a year and if left a lone, it will stay right where it is but "your time", time is precious and so many people waist there precious time whining about this and that, try the software, if you like it, buy it, if you don't like it(or the price)don't buy it. As for "second hand software" I certainly have bought my share and will continue to do so,but I do support a dev when I can afford to a case in point, I bought GURU(yes, with the Geist discount in mind) and Geist. I'll be buying ElectraX over the Holiday. Thanks to FXpasnion and Tone2.Angus_FX wrote:Not hard, but without a disincentive there are certain individuals who will happily do this multiple times over even for products that have fully functional demos - because second hand software doesn't devalue the same way as physical goods (nor does it have any of the other 'friction' of secondary markets for physical goods i.e. time & hassle of postage, loss, damage etc.), and because the new owner typically inherits all the same rights/benefits wrt technical support, upgrade deals etc. etc. One transfer isn't hard to do, but it all adds up.Which is exactly why i will not support any company that charges for licence transfers..don't care who they are, i mean how hard is to just swap details FFS Rolling Eyes
I think a lot of developers feel that if license transfer fees discourage that small minority of people from buying in the first place, that's not necessarily a bad thing. Even with the license transfer fee in place and the fully functional demo, we had a couple people buy Geist and then sell it immediately. As in, within 24 hours. Such a customer is not of any benefit to developers, why encourage it?
We now return to our scheduled programme... Congrats on the release Markus![/i]

Dear George. If you know something about computers, you would know how it change your computer. Regular person, who has no ideas about computers, won't notice any difference. This is fact. But you can start by looking your sys files, registry and host files. Or maybe you don't have firewall to catch all those internet calls?GeorgeZ wrote:text..
Did you know, they moved right away to own forum, when these traps comes very public. And the reason for moving was "We can't censor enough on here kvr".
About Markus. As you have joined 2009, you may not know everything. When he was still on kvr, he just f**ked up it everyone. That kinda person, who just acting very arrogant to others, doesn't deserve any support.
If i would support someone who is just nice person and has good support, the person would be Urs. But these arrogant developers, gosh, hope they make bankruptcy.
You may think he is good person. You may not have any problems on their bogus malwares etc.. But that doesn't change people personality, or the things what have already happened. Once you screw things under you're name, it takes long time to build that trust again.

Happened to me too, just ordered the bundle package - not that I needed it as I already had bifilter2 from the FX package I bought in 09. As others have said, a small discount for the value for pre-existing customers would have been more appropriate and appreciated.flametop wrote:Sob

We will contact you within the next 24 hours by e-mail and provide the necessary information. Thank you for your patience!"
Additionally, if any Tone2 customers got that promo email - the demo for me was corrupted from that link, and could not be unzipped- I had to go to Tone 2 website and download the demo from there. Not sure if anyone else had that problem
This is a lot of trouble to get a synth that will make my female singer clients go Woooohooo! But I have to admit I like the sound a lot. Demo restrictions aside, I was having a lot of fun with it and look forward to using it once my 64 bit download link and license is revealed.

Too bad about the big limitations on the demo... hearing that my interest to download the demo subsided... I can wait and let other people try it out rather than try a demo that I know i will find annoying...

I bought and am now waiting for the license file too. Bit annoying, but I don't have time to use it at the moment anyway !
To be honest, it doesn't really interest me what Markus is like as a person. He runs a business and makes good products. I am sure there are many businesses out there who are run by people you may not invite to dinner. People don't seem to have a problem using their products though. Microsoft is probably filled with unsavoury types.

Mr keel, don't let my join date on this account fool you, I've been around a lot longer than most on KVR. Also, I know more than enough about computers to catch anything incoming or outgoing (in fact, I tested this with a hardware firewall FYI). My point still stands, you're not dating Markus, you're using his software... I get what you're saying, but thread crapping isn't gonna bring your point across, it just makes you look like you're disgruntled... Regardless, this will most likely just go around in circles, so that'll the last comment I'll bother posting about this particular matter.
Have a good day

So you don't buy it because you imagine him to be a grump? oh frabbjious joy.
Anyways. why get into it over some dev that you have had issues with? You can say your piece and have done with it. Don't need the extra hoohaw over the fact that someone sees nothing wrong with it. Sheeesh
