Tone 2 have always been good to me and both Markus and Bastiaan have been pleasant in our email exchanges. I can't speak for anyone else, but I tend to find that if I am nice to others, they are nice to me. There are always ranges of 'nice', but in general, I certainly have no problem with the Tonesters.
As a pretty experienced business owner, and have dealt with thousands of customers, I can honestly say that despite the mantra 'the customer is always right' (which actually just means that customer service without complaints is the best way to deal with everyone through your doors), some customers are just purely single minded twits with little concern for anyone else and don't actually deserve an ounce of reasonable service. That's reality.

I too, was waiting for the demo before buying another synth' - and after trying the demo, have handed over my (hard earned) cash to purchase Dune.
Issues with Tone2's attitude, and their desire to strip released products, and then sell the striped parts as "upgrades" - Is deplorable....
I hope Dune is maintained by honest people... Indications so far are good...

The other skins aren't as garish as the default, the grey one in particular is very sedate..easymode wrote:Sounds great to me (esp filters), but no way im buying it with the current "lets target teenagers" skin.
Plus its sooo wide (and even more with those useless rack ears....)
2d and more compact skin would be welcome.
Cheers
As for disliking it due to handles, it's a fairly common GUI design - both Omnisphere and Trillian for example.

I have received it and both Markus and Bastiaan were only too willing to help out. Good people as far as I am concerned.

If you still haven't received it please send an email to directly noord@a t]tone2[d ot]com. Bastiaan will resubmit it to you manually.cis-didge wrote:....ok, just i got the link for download, now i only need the keyfile
We can't properly handle support here on kvr.
We are sorry if you should have had problems with your order. We have noticed that the fools from ShareIt missed to send some emails. This is a big mess for us, since we have to process everything manually now.
Every paying customer will receive ElectraX. We are working hard to submit the software as soon as possible. Please give us some hours.
Thank you,
Markus

I too was a victim of the Share-It problems yesterday. However after a quick email the Tone2 chaps got me sorted and up-n-running within 30 mins. Cant really question service like that
Playing through the presets last night, I'm very happy with my purchase. ElectrX may just push Gladiator off the spot as my 'go to' plugin. Well done Tone2.

I second this. I too had problems with Share-It and the creation of keys - but both Markus and Bastiaan fixed it manually for me in short time.audiobot202 wrote:I have received it and both Markus and Bastiaan were only too willing to help out. Good people as far as I am concerned.

Pros-
Good features
Good sound
One page interface
Cons-
Short demo time limit
Opening Tone2 website for no good reason
Limited demo features
3D interface doesnt help
Doller to euro conversion is unreasonable
Presets generally too narrow in range, too many arps and busy rythmic sounds
Will keep an eye on this synth, maybe buy in future.

To Tone2:
I have two qualms with the demo:
(1) 20-minute limit???!? How can anyone dive into this synth with JUST a 20-minute limit??? Please lengthen this time!
(2) From the "Downloads" page: "The trial versions are fully working software with a time limit." Incorrect -- some features are clearly disabled. That doesn't make for a "good" demo, IMHumO. If you want me to buy it, then I need to be able to make it "go to 11."
I'll suspend my "demoing" until these issues are addressed.
