BTW, my other "go to" VSTi is Alchemy. I'm waiting for x64-support (which ElectraX has) for Alchemy, Zebra and ACE (which I all really like).
You can download the x64 versions of Zebra and ACE in the U-he forum...

Except in Zebra you can save and load presets so you can keep working right from where you left off... also, after 10 minutes it does not auto-disable, but just starts playing wrong notes so you can save your work...

i would feel more compelled to buy electrax, if tone2 would comment on the two bigger problems in the two electrax threads.

1.) Sound dropouts in the demo (I had them too). Sound simply stops.
2.) Someone posted screens of Waveforms being not clean, having a small click sound at the end.

I would like to see them comment, would make me as a new customer feel much better/make it easier to jump on board.
Finally!

The other thing I would like to hear is a response to the question of whether there will be expansions with additional features like in Gladiator 2. Markus answered a bunch of questions twice, but both times this question was left unanswered. Makes me think the answer is yes... which is a huge downer.

I have not downloaded the demo cause a feature limited demo is not enough for me to decide with, but at some point I will get the chance to try the real thing instead of cripple-ware... I think Tone 2 should just answer the question about expansions.

Have you checked this out yourself? If not, do it.

I also saw the post regarding the clicks - and rushed to see what the fuss is all about. Bad news - yes, there is a click. Good news, it's so damn tiny that you have to focus to spot it. While I am no friend of clicks - I couldn't see how that tiny flaw could in any way degrade my productions.

My opinion of course. But I encourage you to actually try spotting it yourself. It's very small.

I guess no! I have firewall and i am getting their website pop up without any warning whatsoever?!?? Since i was browsing their website yesterday i didn't noticed this at first since i was in belief that i clicked new tab etc..- but now i don't like it.

How do they do it? I have (as an example) Adobe CS master collection and honestly 99% of other programs and all of them "ask" my firewall can they go online but electraX somehow avoid my security. Don't like it.

(...)

Please don't ask me trivial question about firewall. I said everything.. And no i am not paranoid. I just don't like this behavior.
Hi! For a plugin to send you to their website, they don't need to do anything with the firewall. They just tell the browser to go to a site; the browser is already cleared by you to be permitted to the firewall. It's a different matter altogether from a plugin wanting to secretly "phone home" on its own socket; which should and probably would be automatically stopped by the Windows firewall (or at least have it prompt you for permission).

Just to clear that up.

I do agree with the idea that having to use a firewall to stop a plugin from doing mischief in the first place is a bad starting point, but as far as I can tell, there's no evidence of foul play in the full version.

That's a problem i do not understand. I will buy the software "as is" and get bug fixes for free. If they update it with "amazing new features" in the future, I will have to pay for it. They put time and effort into making those updates, so they need to get paid, else they could not do it. Gotta make a living, right?!

How can there be clicks in the samples, if they were properly done? Sounds to me like they didn't do their homework. Wouldn't this problem be easy to solve with an update, anyways?!

Great support from Markus- he sent me the missing keyfile immediately! (the problem is "shareit")

Now I can enjoy this great synth! In my opinion its more easier to use than synthsquad, alchemy, and much more easier than largo (with this layers)
The 4 synths are great for making own patches...
Low cpu but great sound....

Good work!!
Its my opinion!!!

i would love to buy it today, i have a day off :)

Markus, if you are here today, could you answer the question about the clicks (can/will Ton2 do anything about it?) and about the sound in the demo sometimes just stopping before the 10 minutes run out?

Thanks,

Cyph

then you are forced to get the soundbank to get the additional features... and the additional features are minimal compared to the cost.

So when you buy Gladiator, you get Gladiator Lite. To get the actual full Gladiator synth is $327... absurd price of $140 extra! even if you do not want the presets.

On the other hand, Zebra, since I bought it, has had 5 times the feature additions for no additional cost. So if you take advantage of the dino crossgrade, the full Zebra is less than half the cost of Gladiator and you get new features for free and everyone is assured of having the full compatible version.

If you buy Gladiator lite, you cannot share presets with someone who has the full Gladiator with expansions. Ithink it is a crappy policy.

Presets and features should be separate. It is BS to have to pay an extra $140 just to insure compatibility and have all the features and be forced to buy the soundset.

i wouldn't say a "crappy" policy ,to be fair
(but a bit mercantile as far as i can judge though...)
