Mac Hine wrote: 1 minor bug. If I adjust the distortion, nothing happens unless I press new key.
Not so minor. It happens with other parameters as well. Like FM or others. You turn the knob and usually no change happens until you release the knob and hit a new key. But this behavior varies. Sometimes change does happen continually so it is certainly a bug. It can be worse though, parameters seem to get stuck for quite a while sometimes. For example I've had it where turning off all oscillators of a single layer patch continues to make sound because even though the button says it's off, really it's still on. I've also had it where I've moved a control and nothing has happened for a long time even after pressing keys and releasing and turning the knob again (example fm). Then when I turn the layer on and off it seems to jog it into accepting the new values and it sounds totally different.

This is a fairly major bug which seems like it's all related where parameters don't respond immediately to changes. Sometimes they kick in soon and sometimes not until the layer or synth is turned off and back on.

It's the main thing preventing it from buying at the moment, because it really can affect sound designing.

Yeah, that happened. Time seems to have mostly healed those wounds though. Time and the fan boys.

Looking for cracked copies of Tone2 software, of course. Isn't this obvious? I'm not even really opposed to this behavior, but it could have been done in an up front way. Like I know Photoshop does this, because Adobe tells me. Having to spend an evening trying to get purchased software to work only to find it's because it think's it's stolen and is having a hard time telling the developer it's stolen (even though it wasn't) is pretty bad. I don't care what you or Kriminal say, that's bad behavior and should be pointed out, as should be the fact that the demo and early versions of Gladiator clearly had a resynthesis button on it. I was excited to use it but I didn't try importing my own samples in the demo. After the purchase had been made a click on the button showed me that it did.... NOTHING. WTF? Markus then said the functionality would come later... which was a lie because it never did... oh, when it did he cleverly renamed the product so that owners had to pay full price for a synth instead of the upgrade price they should have paid to get the resynthesis feature.

How is this not bad behavior from Tone2? Imagine if you bought a car in the winter. This car and an air conditioner button on the dash but you didn't try it because it wasn't hot. Summer comes and you hit that button and nothing happens and you find out that your car really doesn't have a/c, but it'll be an option... in the future... an add on. You're mad, but you wait. Then, years later, the company releases a car that very similar to your car but with air conditioning. But you can't just buy the air conditioner (that you thought you had bought) you have to buy an entire new car to get it.

So, no, you really don't have to analyze Markus' DNA before you buy his products, but you sure will feel like he squirted some of it on you at some point. :hihi:

I want nothing to do with this argument, but that was f***ing funny!!

It never worked as planned but it is possible to use custom waveforms: http://www.tone2.org/forum/index.php?topic=191.0

As I recall, they said from the start the resynthesis option would be a separately paid-for option. It was widely discussed at the time. As far as I can tell, you are a regular user of this forum so, although it was unwise of Markus to put the button on the GUI (and is was later removed) I find it hard to believe you were utterly unaware of the limitation until one fateful day you pressed that button. I vaguely remember it popped up a message in the demo and the full version saying it was reserved for a future update, but I couldn't swear to it.

Please, come on...

I'm persuaded that, as a sweetheart that he is, he will shortly fix that omission...

No, but he did give away their internal tool for resynthesizing waveforms, no? I mean - if he's the monsterous, lying bastard you make him to be - why would he give away a tool that at least make up for the missed functionality?

That's way better behaviour than all companies that have ripped me off countless times, or suddenly axed all future development with no further explanation, support or help.

Has anyone tried to "automate" the synths (on/off)?

When I try this (for example I use one synth and than I "automate" the second to switch "on") than there is a short peak or clipping or click (I don't now the correct word in english)...perhaps this is a little bug? Otherwise my PC-Setup is the reason...

I'd really like to hear what others think about the VST.

Is it possible? :? :hihi:

Mmmm to be honest usually I use MW and pitch bend to control the layer volumes and turn them on (I think it's more comfortable if you are recording a live performance), BTW I've tried and no clicks here. Anyway report this problem to the official forum, maybe you have found "something" :)

No. Raging fury lasts forever! And Wikileaks sucks compared to KVR members :hihi: (at this point I have to admit I'm so confused that I don't know if it's a good or bad thing :hihi:).

He he, have you ever heard of the bug in the firmware which from time to time delete user presets? And the really bad thing is that you can't directly insult Mr. Waldorf, what a shame! :hihi:
