The plugin IS connecting to the website directly after the demo is running out !!
You must have your computers infected by viruses guys, really. Download a free antivirus or something... Am I the only one which have no internet problems with Tone2 products?

zerocrossing wrote:I don't care what you or Kriminal say, that's bad behavior and should be pointed out, as should be the fact that the demo and early versions of Gladiator clearly had a resynthesis button on it. I was excited to use it but I didn't try importing my own samples in the demo. After the purchase had been made a click on the button showed me that it did.... NOTHING. WTF? Markus then said the functionality would come later... which was a lie because it never did... oh, when it did he cleverly renamed the product so that owners had to pay full price for a synth instead of the upgrade price they should have paid to get the resynthesis feature.
It never worked as planned but it is possible to use custom waveforms: http://www.tone2.org/forum/index.php?topic=191.0
OK, well I'll suck back a bit of my venom, though I don't remember ever getting an email from Tone2 about this feature. Nice to know now!

I got Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 running, thanks... :)

Again: The website is popping up when the demo period ends.

Anyway like i already added to my post this seems to be a great synth. DAMN, right at the time where i thought i don't need any new synth soon and when i want to concentrate on my current synths. :x :hihi: Haven't purchased one since around 9 months or more, all new ones i got in that time were beta tests.

I hope i could resist and focus on my personal time plan i just made around one week ago...

Uh didn't understood the problem at first... Well maybe it's only a redirection to the website for ad purposes (instead of a popup window), but this is far away from spyware ;)

Love the sound of the synth and will buy it as soon as the bugs are fixed. It is extremely buggy currently. Turning off oscillators often do not actually turn off the sound, many parameters do nothing for quite a while and then suddenly work. Bit of a mess on the mac (VST and AU) right now but hopefully everything gets sorted. I would be curious to see how it behaves on a PC.

Yeah, it's not that i don't have synths that have similar features or sound quality like e.g. Largo, PPG Wave 3.V, Dune and Alchemy but it's the combination of features, implementaion of those features, the quality of the filters and overall sound quality that i like about ElectraX. Not much that seems to be missing in that synth...

Yes, same here. The way things are put together makes me work faster because I don't have to search through pages or try to understand/remember what control do what, I think the layout it's very "clean", "self explanatory", so it's very easy to master the instrument in a short time.

Can you confirm that the following does not happen:
Load a single layer sound. Turn on only Osc2. Crank up the fm from osc 1. Do you hear a change immediately? Once you do hear the fm, do you hear any change when you alter the octave of osc1? (You should because the osctave of osc1 should affect osc2 since osc1 is modulating it). If you do not hear a change, what if you turn osc1 on and then off again. Now do you hear a change? This is what I'm seeing.

Hey Max, it's not a bad synth i just guess im Waldorf through and through as well as Zebra and Ace too.

The synth is good like i said but maybe when the bugs are fixed eh?
PS

I like: The UI
I like: Sounds, excellent presets i must say
I like: It's a piece off piss to navigate

I Don't like: That i won't buy it, why's that then? Coz the sounds in there are already good enough and that's all i'd be buying it for.

Congrats Tone2 even if you think im a c**t

As a beta tester I'm surprised by the "bugs" that have been reported here because I never experienced these problems. I'm sure there are some bugs that need to be found yet, this is normal I think, but these problems makes me thing that meybe there's something wrong in the demo version, because I can't reproduce them on my copy of the instrument (well I'm on PC, I never tried the Mac version... but on WinXP the synth is very stable and all functions are working the way they should).
