Can anyone confirm this bug?
Load up a mono-sound, like the ones in the lead-directory.
On a MIDI-keyboard, press and hold C3, D3 and E3 in that order, everytime, having the last note cut off the previous. Hold all three.
Now, release D3. Expected behavior would be that E3 (still being pressed) would keep sounding, but on my system, C3 takes over, which I consider a bug. I would be virtually impossible to perform a synth solo on this thing in its current state.
I tested with Alchemy, who does the following (which is expected behavior):
C3 (and hold), D3 (and hold), E3 (and hold) => E3
Release D3 => E3 keeps playing.
Anyone?

Definitely a bug. You can also see a problem if you release both C and E. you would obviously expect D to be playing because it is the only note being held, however it does not. Either C or E is held, even though you or only pressing D! If you release C first, then E, then it plays E while D is held. If you release E and then release C while holding D, then C is played (even after release). Definitely a bug. Report it I'll do the same. You're right this would seriously affect performance.COCPORN wrote:Can anyone confirm this bug?

Hmmmzz.. The more I play with the demo the more I like this synth
At first I thought that this is way over my head with all these layers and stuff but when I cut it back down to just one layer and start tweaking it's already HUGE and enabling one more layer can give some quite interesting results.
It's just sounds so ehhh.. juicy
A quality sound for dance orientated music, that's for sure. This might be a last buy for me this year after all..

The note order playback thing has already been filed as a bug with Tone2, BTW. Thanks for confirming.

bought the 64 bit version this afternoon.
played around quite a bit.
love the presets, encountered one or two bugs and reported them (although they were hard to reproduce and seemed to appear randomly).
loaded in my own samples and loved it (even more than rapture, but this is just based on first impressions).
ElectraX is at 1.0 right now, so i believe it is normal, that in the first weeks some problems will be found and fixed. it's like that with all software development products, as far as i know. Some bugs can be DAW related, too.
First impression: l.o.v.e.
cyph
PS: The FM Knob - does only things when fm synthesis is part of a patch, right?
PPS: Don't let the word "bug" scare you. I tested DUNE and Noizemaker lately and found bugs in both of those synths too.

can anybody try the following please :
chose any preset - change the decay of the filter envelope - close gui - reopen gui. (maybe repeat close & open gui 1-2 times)
here on a mac and logic 9.1.3 it immediately crashes logic
anybody else seeing this ? happens in the full version aswell and makes it somewhat not usable for me.

This immediately crashed Reaper (x64) on Windows. Closing the window is OK, reopening it crashes the host. Full version.trancekid wrote:can anybody try the following please :

posted on their forum already and they are aware of it. hope they will soon release an update cause that one is really heavy for me. i wanted to use a couple of sounds in a current production but i would always have to change the filter decay so i cant use it at all like this.COCPORN wrote:Will you write up the report?trancekid wrote:

Ya it's strange. I've noticed 3 or 4 problems within a day of trying out a demo that only lasts for 10 minutes, so I'm a bit surprised as well. I think they just needed a bigger beta test group (some people only do certain things with synths so having more people is better than testing thoroughly with a few I think).Purity Lied wrote:So what did the beta testers actually do on this project?
They will be 200 dollars richer though when they fix it, I'll jump right on it.
