I got it sending notes to a track in Live, but I'm sure it does a lot more stuff than what I have going on now...

updated again, changing the weird file handling:

- Save and Load buttons now work like a normal person would expect (open a dialog window to select a file), but can ctrl-click the buttons or automate the File/Save parameters to do it the old way
- MIDI files are now embedded in the plugin state/fxb file, and aren't saved as .mid unless you click the "Save" button

brilliant! I was worried we'd loose the ability to 'quick save' the recording..

- Added controls for selecting the number of measures to display in the piano roll
- Fixed bugs in the last version with ctrl-clicking save/load buttons

you're right, mono (transpose) was broken. fixed for the next version... will add bar numbers as well. i'm trying to fix overdub mode now, so i'll upload the next version when that's ready.

what about midi controlled loop-start and loop-end placement, with "while- record" quantization of those points towards nearest bar or beat?

i don't know what you mean exactly. i guess you mean something different from what "Manual" Record Length does. can you explain?
