Do I have to download the whole package of all the plugins, or do you have an installer just for Magnetic?

All, BUT you can simply choose to install magnetic (they are all unchecked when I did it here, that is the only one I checked)

We have been informed about that and be sure that we will contact you in less than 48h.

how many of you got this message?
I tried 3 times to purchase and got some kind of "invalid merchant address" error. I emailed Don't Crack but never had a response. That was last Friday.
Problem is that plugin already purchased(money taken). Got letter from "don't crack", but serial not yet arrived due to kinda error.
Hello Igro,

We just received an email from dontcrack.com, you should have received your serial number.

I wish everyone a good weekend.

Thank You.

Thank you, got it! Yeah!

Just tested it. Stunning work Nomad. Really like it. Drums sound really musical after this.

AAAArrrghhh.. I bought it without really demoing (no-brainer price and the vids were nice) but the damn thing crashes my host, Ableton Live immediately after inserting the plug-ing as audio unit. The vst version doesn't fare much better either, it crashes also frequently. That shucks ..
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

^^^ miro pajic, at the bottom of page 5 and in the middle of page 6, cites a similar problem (Live 8.2.1 on 10.6.5), but he mentions that Nomad provided a fix. Maybe this is related to the same thing you're experiencing? (IOW -- Oh, Bernie....... :hihi:)

Post

So I should probably send e-mail to Nomad support .. Will do now, thanxxx .. Or maybe Miro can share his knowledge, pretty please if you are only reading this :) Btw. I don't know what beta testers are doings since these kind of bugs get through .. Even with the recent PPG from Waldorf, the audio unit just crashes the host after inserting, that's quite big bug imho (it's not just computer specific btw) and one wonders how it can go unnoticed. Not slagging of beta testers here but still ..

Is this thing on???

Testing, testing, 1 2 3, hello??

Ok, if anyone's wondering why this nice plug-in crashes Ableton on Mac, it's because of permission problems in /application support/nomad factory .. ALL permission should be set to "Read & Write":
Go to Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > > Nomad Factory
> Licenses
> Plug-in settings

All of those should be changed (change them by pressing 'get info' on the folders) ..

Add: Ok, even with these instructions it still doesn't work very well unfortunately :( Hope there will be a solution, will keep you posted

I have a few plugins that claim to impart "warmth", including the Nomad Factory Analog Signature bundle, the Nomad Factory British compressor and EQ, Sonnox Dynamics and Voxengo Voxformer, as well as the included plugins that come with Cubase. The only dedicated tape simulation plugin I had was Magneto. I have demoed Voxengo Tape Bus and URS Saturator, but wasn't persuaded to buy either of those.

I used MAGNETIC on a sparse mix over the weekend - an acoustic folk tune with vocals, acoustic guitar and fretless bass. I loved the results. It beefed everything up while making it sound smooth and creamy, but not distorted or fizzy.

Thanks for the input.

Didi you used it and tracks only, or on the master bus ? Or maybe both ?

I used it on individual tracks.
I guess to get the sound of an analog tape master, I should try it on the mix. But I just slapped my usual EQ, compressor and limiter on the mix.
