I'm a big fan of the Togu Audio line plug ins. You can use them for basses, strings, pad and lead sounds and along with the vst fx you have most sounds covered.

One thing I would love to see would be a dedicated drum synth, everything else seems to be covered.

Yes, please. Although I use all kinds of synths for perc/drums. Noisemaker is perfectly capable.
