Is it just me or does the name Tyrell sound retarded for a synth?
Might as well call it Bobby while you're at it...

I think it's a nice name! Most of people in the amazona community are big vangelis/bladerunner fans.

I must have scanned the article too quickly. I thought the second photo was of Urs... :help:
Both photos I see here are of mock ups............the silver one gets my vote. Reminds me of Ravity.

Ah. I only read the English blog article linked later.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Urs heckmann is working on a free synth called tyrell.
Urs is maybe releasing too many freebies.

I never needed to buy any of his synths since I have
Zebra CM (CM Magazine), Zebralette (S&R Magazine), Podolski (S&R Magazine), Triple Cheese (from his website).....for some of them I have hundreds of presets in the case of Zebra CM more than a thousand.

I think it's generous of Urs to release so many free synths but in my case he's losing a customer ;)

Looking forward to Tyrell !

"Tyrell is a unique synth project in that even those behind it don't know exactly where it will lead them. The brainchild of online magazine Amazona.de, we're told that a software version is definitely on the cards and that a hardware edition (which may or may not look like the rather tasty render above) will "hopefully" appear after that.

The good news is that the software side of things is being handled by Urs Heckman, the man behind the excellent Zebra and ACE synths. The story goes that Urs was already working on a project called DIVA, one part of which was developing a module based on Roland's Juno-60. Now this work - and ideas that have come from an Amazona.de reader survey - will be used in Tyrell N6, a new plug-in synth.

What's more, three companies from China and Europe have apparently expressed an interest in building the hardware Tyrell, so that render might one day become a real. Let's hope so."

Recently there were official rumours re DIVA. So seems to make sense... Interesting.

hehe, you sure have an interesting synth with ACE, maybe I'll get me that one ;)

Oh and if you ever consider selling the filterscape effect without the filterscape synth for a good price..... .hint. .hint. .hint.

p.s.
I also use some of your ltm lab drumsynths from time to time :) Another great Magazine Freebie :)

I sometimes think that if I un-bundled my stuff and sold each item seperately for a reasonable price I'd become seriously big company. I would however spend most of my time doing boring stuff.

If you count the 60 ltmLabs btw. I think I'm already the second biggest plugin company behind Waves with more than 80 plugins. But it's of course not fair to treat ltmLabs as a plugin each. Neither is it fair to say it's only one plugin. OTOH it isn't fair either to compare Zebra with an ordinary plugin. Nah, okay. I'm only the third biggest company after Waves and Nomad Factory. Unless you count Reaktor Ensembles as separate products. And who really says that the biggest company is the one with the most products. I think the biggest company is the one with the biggest perspective. That question is I think easy to answer, but I guess I've completely forgotten how I got here

Ehmmm.... yes. Cheers! :D Anyway, I bought Zebra some time ago but additional Christmas presents like that are always welcome...

I think the name is really cool. I read it's from Blade Runner (?) but it reminds me of that coldschool F1 team :)
