Name That Tune #40

Post

.

Anything Martin Hannett-related?
Image

Post

Not related... but it does have an eerily similar industrial factory type sample followed by a drum beat.

early 70's...

#40 longer sample

2 band members have the same first name.
both the band and their guitarist have colors in their names.

is anyone else still playing?

Deep Purple - Fireball

I was thinking blue cheer at first but that didn't fit the names thing.

I don't know this "Trick Question" you speak of, but it is indeed Don't believe the hype.

@optomadic: Not sure, but my guess is that the only "classical" thing about this is the clav sound...

hmm, not sure if the electro one is quite within the rules...

Not sure about classic, I'd definietely put it well into the 2000s. Of course this could still mean it's oldish.

Daft Punk perhaps?? (far more likely another band emulating their style) :?

Listening closely to the production,
I can tell its not before the 2gz.
I dont think its DP..
Perhaps a french group ( ixnay the laten parts lol )? I listen to a lot of French Radio..

When I said "classical" I was referring to the underlying elements in the song..
The vocal tracks denote a classical flavor as well as the clavichord ( imo ).

@Bonteburg, I wasn't aware there are rules to the game,
if there's a post, please supply a link ;).

Again, I'm oblivious to who produced it,
so that might be counter productive to the game at hand...

If I figure it out, I will post the answer
( unless someone beats me to it  )
