Very cool morphing on that. It almost sounds like fm getting introduced at times.

Lots of other great demos there too. I'll be pre-ordering this tonight. This is what Alchemy was meant for.

Thank's - that fm sounding morph is actually using Alchemy great sounding and very versatile Ring Modulator which adds some nice spice to the cello.

Here is a demo for another beautiful Cello patch: Cello Flautato Pad
I can see the finishing line, 3 patches to go, then some more finetuning, then the pdf, then the release...

Listened to every demo. Pure Magic!

Simon, I was talking to camel, kindly requesting them to re consider their policy to close alchemy player for third party banks. There will be no change in that policy.

The only chance for player users to have access to your work lies with you. If you are willing to approach camel to come to a deal to have them sell your sound bank as well, then alchemy player users will be able to purchase it.

Would that be possible for you?

Thank you for these kind words. On the first day after announcing this Bank Camel Audio contacted me to talk about this matter (also see the 1st page of this thread), I don't think this Bank will be released with them though in the future, but maybe my next Alchemy Bank will, it depends on certain things I don't want to discuss in public...

Here comes a rather experimental demo for the patch Baby Crusher

Hi Simon,

you're welcome, no flattering, just calling a spade a spade! To me it constitutes the very best I have heard out of alchemy to date. I admit, I did not hear every single sound they provide, but had a good listen into every sound bank on the camel site.

Perfectly understandable.

I was wondering Simon, in a world of a new emerging feudalism, a world hat is dominated by faked sincerity and a global financial heist, enslaving entire nations in debt traps, music eventually remains the only language that has not any inherent capability to create lies and is 'understood' regardless of cultural or ethnic differences.

Does this knowledge demand a certain ethic from a musician?

....In my world, yes!

Sorry for ranting. :)

That sentence is an essential analysis of the current state of our globalized world.
Releasing a "free" "player product" as a vehicle to sell sound libraries produced by the Plug-In developer is a perfectly understandable marketing strategy, do I want to support that strategy? - Not really, although I'm missing out on a lot of sales but I don't care.
My stuff on patchpool was never meant to be a "mass product", it's made for musicians and sound designers who are looking for something beyond the mainstream and I don't have to pay my rent with that business either :)

Just to clarify, it had nothing to do with alchemy and camel's or your's product. I should have separated that more clearly I guess.

A short boom-bust cycle for synthesizer, video, celli, brass and spoken voices is on my mind this morning. - The peak oil wars - Voices of people sleeping rough in Europe and voices of people who join the opening on december 15th of "The Cosmopolitan", a 3000 rooms Casino that belongs to Josef Ackerman's Deutsche Bank. Only problem is, I have no invitation. LOL Brecht-Bukowski-Kafkaesque style pictures this idea triggers in me.

This global financial Heist is something that I would love to bring into a musical context somehow, also to allow people to see the truth behind the smoke screens of what our established media landscapes provide them with. Total Global Capital is round about 200 tln USD, of which 120 tln is traded as debts, fiat money, bits and bytes in computers, created by bankster by means of fractional reserve banking, tools of ideologists with an agenda. They know too well that peak oil=peak everything as 95% of our industrial production is based on oil.

Mainstream can be a extremely painful thing, especially these days. ;) No, your creations are no mainstream at all. Going to send you an email over your contact option in your site.

Keep on creating! It is inspiring Simon!

P.S.

The WSJ mentioned eloquently, it is good that DB not only has casino balance accounts, but a balance account in a casino. - You could not make it up! -

So hopefully by tonight I will have all patches ready and finetuned, as it looks now I will release the Bank as announced on Decembre 15 which is Wednesday.

Excellent news! Been listening to all the demos and for my type of music this is the most versatile set of patches that have appeared for Alchemy so far. I can see many of these sounds being worked into tracks for release on EP's due out early next year. Looking forward to the release :)
