Nice tune and interesting idea, I understand that it might be hard cookie for common kvr-folk to pass thought whole 2 minutes of renaissance part, before the electronic thing starts. So what was the processing? Sounds like "time freezing" / spectral blur...

Am I being hard on people's ears?
The droning is the Michael Norris "Spectral Drone Maker".
But the more interesting part starts at 2/3 of the track, where I recreate the droning with purely acoustic means, just layering literally a few dozen recorder tracks. Ok, there's a bit of convolution reverb, but the most of it is acoustic droning.

On a PC you can get this effect with Spectral Monkyage. The acoustic drone part is most pleasant IMO, in the middle part there's this flanging effect which is a bit annoying. Anyway, definitely not hard on ears, just too far away from tarnce...
