Just had a BSOD when I tried to change from direct sound to asio. Real new with this program (Lite)so I don't know if it was something I did . Nothing else running at the time
XP system dual core 2 gigs mem. Thanks Wyndham

Very much like the similar thread about BSOD, this is usually a lower level hardware or driver failure, and less likely directly related to Cantabile. Make sure that your hardware drives for your audio card, video are up to date. ASIO4all has been fine on my station (WinXPPro32 Sp3) with a better response than the native Audigy sound card drivers, even though these are updated also. Make sure that your OS is current. Hard drive and memory chips can also contribute.
Beyond that, I would be surprised if it actually was related directly to Cantabile, which is using resources that are probably causing the crash.

I agree except that Sonar 8.5.3 works with the Delta ASIO and this is a new Athlon dual core CPU w/2gigs mem. I've had it crash each time the ASIO is chosen but all that really means is things somewhere are not playing well.
Direct sound works well enough to learn the program and see what it can do, Thanks Wyndham

Just out of curiosity, I googled Delta ASIO BSOD and found enough listings to suggest that this is contributing to your problem, not Cantabile. Have you tried ASIO4All. Current version seems very stable to me. Best to you.

Just to add that many other programs need to be restarted to change the audio driver and can't do that on the fly as Cantabile can...

Thanks,I try the ASIO4all. So far the direct sound works with a latency of 11.8 ms.
I tried installing this lite version on my win 2000 machine and got an error of a PSA??.dll or PAS?.dll (did not write it down at the time) not found, any idea what this might be?
