Just in the process of putting together my first modular(euro), and was pondering whether to put in a doepfer midi/cv converter or whether to take the plunge with the es-1 and loose a bit more rackspace...and $$..
Basically i have little to no knowledge of workin with cv, so wondering how steep the silent way/es-1 learning curve is ? Is it instinctive.. will it satisfy my needs as i work from Logic and use apogee ensembles as my audio interfaces ?
Thx for any advice in advance..
Also wondering is silent way/es-1 compatible with mac running logic 9.1.1 in conjunction with 2 x apogee ensembles ?

Also, i dont really want to tie up 8 of my audio outs to e-s1, as i need thoos eaudio outs for mixdowns from daw to analog desk...Do i need all 8 foruse with cv..? How would you normally use the 8 jack ins/cv outs..?

The Apogee cards dont appear on the compatibilty list :

But you should be able to get it working with a simple cable :
