I did not last the month either...

I ended up getting the upgrade to Sonar X1 and got VAZ modular as well, like i need another one...

Oh...it is my annual account(Below). I managed to stay on the wagon for about a year but this sommer I demoed Samplemoog

Unfortunately I do not regret one single acquisition.It has been a great year to suffer from GAS. My wife regret them all on my behalf though.

However, now I have everything I need, so I promise not to buy more gear
(translation: Next year I hope to get a little below 923$, so it feels like progress)

I now there are much worse cases around, so plz publish your annual accounts and make me feel better.

missed the NI sale; actually woke up in a panic when i realized it was over. in an effort to compensate, i will be going to an actual music store, pointing out that audio midi has a buy 1 get 2 free deal on Arturia's stuff and see if i can walk out with something for $60.

Let's see..I think I spent over $4,000 on music related hardware and software this year...I MIGHT be able to curtail the spending to about 50%--

I was really good this year. I kept music expenses under $4k, which is way under budget and leaves a nice bit of savings for whatever next year. In 2009 I spent about $12k but that includes everything from modular stuff and a new MacPro, to cables, hard drives and blank CDs, etc. I keep having this anxiety that if I end up with a 200e next year, that will be $12k-$20k on it's own. I've never spent that much on a piece of gear... hell, I've never spent that much on a car!

Anyway, I'm just proud of myself because I've never once bought music related equipment on credit. Keeping a $0 balance on the credit card is probably the only reason I can sleep at night.

I'm also around the 4k club, BUT many of my purchases were of the very important kind.

New uber computer and a larger monitor (that doesn't have that whine) and a second monitor. 300 bucks went to graphics card(S) (don't get me started) and an oxygen 61 controller. Very very good purchase other than all the graphic card issues (and guess what.........looks like I'm not done yet

)I use this computer all day, every day so clearly a good purchase.

I did buy two guitars, one of which I overpaid. AND I'll probably end up selling it because it's not a "made in japan" ibby.

Then as far as software goes it's really not that much money. Kontakt was probably the most expensive but it was 50% off the xgrade.

@Magnetic. I did end up demoing and buying it. At least I got a good price;)
