I think in the spring, after I've recovered from this year's gear purchases (LOL), I might consider having Carvin build me a guitar as well.

what if we helped you build one yourself?

Big up to hibidy for giving me a great guitar for a great price! I'm absolutely loving this PRS SE Singlecut! :D

I'm really happy you like it. For me, it was great except that my hands/fingers are so small and the neck was just a bit too big for me.

I'd like my next guitar to be fitted with one of these bridges

No real details or pics, but the idea is very appealing even if it sounds very Heath Robinson/Wallace and Gromit in design.

I have to admit that's ingenious! Now, if only I had a clear favorite guitar to put it in...

I'd love to try it but don't really have time to tinker with it at the moment. In other words, let others test this and if it gets refined, then take the time to put on one of the go-to guitars. I know I never use the ol' whammy on the Warmoth beast and it is flatmounted anyway so I could probably do well with this. In time, in time :)

very cool!

As long as it didn't change the sound of the guitar because of the difference from the original bridge that would be really cool.

And of course it's endorsed by some circus clown who I guess is famous:

He must be really cool as his parents only had a number for a last name.

does anyone else see the pitfall to this? I dont know about you guys but I developed my ears by painfully learning to tune my guitar. For the performing musician I see the practical side, but then I can and have tuned on the fly. But I also see the other side of the coin, I dont even think a tuner is wise for new guitarists exacept for a reference for one string (I use to have certain songs I tuned to) TBH unless it only costs about the same as a pack of strings I simply cannot see it being worth buying for me

No he's the update from John 3:16

I am agreeing with you on that one Hink, i am totally sefl taught and also tune up by ear or with one reference note (the tuner is usually for when i do a restring and/or a setup). Time will tell i guess.

As for John 5 - yeah he does look strange but he is one hell of a player if you listen to some of his solo albums and they do not sound like he looks if that makes any sense? Here are some links if anyone wants to have a listen:

Sugarfoot Rag - (It is not what you might expect this one!)
Reqium - (Kind of looking likethe 'Joker' from the latest batman film on that cover)
Dead Mans Dream -
The Washing Away Of Wrong (Minus the makeup) -
Black Widow Of La Porte -
Feisty Cadavers -
The Werewolf Of Wisteria -

Well you get the idea. I think the 'look' is due to being axe for hire for currently Rob Zombie and ex-Marylin Manson but his solo records are far more intresting i think/enjoy them quite alot :)

there's also the road maps I use for alternate tunings, like I said some can be done on the fly. For instance if I'm tuned to Gm or Am it's one half step on one string that is the difference between the major and the minor (vice versa as well). I do not see any mention of alternate tunings on the page, but scanning how to set it up it does no seem like it would be something that could be done quickly like with a standard hardtail. If I'm wrong please correct me, but this is almost as much as a pita as a rose for different tunings as I see it

Surely the number should get bigger?

Maybe he's a downgrade?
