I used to have that mimimalism beat with just a notebook and a midi controller on 2 TV trays, but then I bought a Trigger Finger and then a drumKat and then a trapKat. and I upgraded from notebook to tower and from 2 TV trays to 3 mobile computer stands.

There's no room for that here, sadly.

I have a 19in. monitor I'm going to find a place for to the right of the keyboard stand, to keep the mixing section up on, but that's not a real critical thing for me right now.

I'm just glad I can't drum worth a damn and program my beats or license loops.

Here's my current setup. I use only the stuff right around the table. Rest of the stuff just lies there unused. I think I need to sell something.

That's actually pretty kick-ass! You've a ton of power in a pretty small space, given all the hardware. Impressive!

Update: bored and buzzed so I moved furniture around and stuck the second monitor in the corner and set it up with Reaper:

I can get 16 tracks on that screen, easily readable and I don't have to twist around too far to watch levels!

Possibly. I have 2 chest of drawers to the left of the bed, I might be able to re-arrange them all against one wall, in which case I could shift the bed about 5 feet to the left, freeing up most of the West-facing wall the keyboard stand is against.. wtf?

I can't believe I'm actually considering this!!!!
