white noise is a full audio bandwidth noise generator.
PINK noise
pink noise is a filtered white noise generator by 3dB/octave across the whole audio frequency range.
RED noise
red noise is hard filtered and contains essentially only frequencies up to 200 Hz.
That would be myself, thanksxoxos wrote:whoever rendered that gui is worth keeping around urs. looks really sharp.
Indeed! I worked till 3 last night, and got up at just half an hour ago. Not sure if I'll make it. Will keep you posted!psilocybian wrote:waaa cant wait, today is going to be a long day waiting for the alpha to test it out
I'll think about it... just need some free space around them to draw the shadow. Maybe I can make them overlap though. Which may or may not cause drawing errors. Not sure...3ee wrote:Wow Urs, quality work on the GUI!
Could you pls consider making the sliders a bit wider and perhaps a bit bigger as well?
The beta will be extremely hungry, more so than ACE I think. I use expensive functions like sin(), tan() and tanh() directly, multiple times per sample per voice. I assume that many people will comment on the sound of filters etc. so I guess I'll experiment a bit with that. Once things are set in stone I can start optimising things, and replace those functions by parallelised approximations.futurefields wrote:Looks real nice. How will the cpu usage be?
Thanks Urs, have a nice day!Urs wrote: I'll think about it...

So we will need a DSP-host for Tyrell?Urs wrote:The beta will be extremely hungry, more so than ACE I think
It's a reflection map with a lot of blur. I think that's key to a semi-realistic look. I might lower the dosage though...hakey wrote:(This might be my eyes, but to me the 'background' has a patchy look about it. There are areas that are pinkish grey mixed in with and adjacent to areas of a bluish grey, with no apparent reason - eg the indication of relief, or shadow - for the difference in tone.)
Okay - and I really wouldn't go changing things just on my say so.Urs wrote:It's a reflection map with a lot of blur. I think that's key to a semi-realistic look. I might lower the dosage though...
...they also do a good line in Potato Chips.Tyrell N6 is reminiscent to the replicant type Nexus 6 of Tyrell Corp...
