i thought i read somewhere you could send midi in to the iphone to play some of the supported synths, connected with the camera connector kit..can't find the post now (was somewhere else on the web)
i have a korg nano key.. anyone tried it or have any info.. thanks!

You need the Canera Connection Kit to use MIDI in with iPad (not iPhone AFAIK).
And the Korg NanoKey/NanoPad work well with it.

U need line 6 midi mobilizer (not USB)

Cck only works on iPad as autodafe states.

Akai do the Synthstation 25 for the iPhone that looks quite neat, but not sure if it works with any apps other than their own. It isn't too expensive either at £75 here in the UK.

yeah i'm thinking about that.. maybe i'll sell the korg as the akai works as an easy to carry controller for laptop too!
i think a few other apps have support now. not sure which tho.
edit-i just checked, nanostudio is supported so that makes it pretty worthwhile
also nlog which is a nice sounding synth too

Music Studio by Xewton also compatible with the SynthStation according to Appstore.

Unfortunately the iPad camera connection kit won't work with the iPhone. I tested it with the iPhone 4 and you'll get a message that it's not supported (also with iOS 4.2). However, Network MIDI will work. So your app needs to support that.

Cheers,
Stefan
