Hehe, I never made any promises for Christmas
The plan was always January. I still have other things to do, like finishiny my website where I can upload this, so by the end of january everything will be finished hopefully.
So a little update, I changed the gui a bit:

I still wanted the core Roland jp-8000 look of it, but I changed a few details that will make Roland care less. I hope access dont mind me taking inspiration of the knob showing harmonics inside. Or otherwise I will be hunted down by the japanese samurai and the gestapo!

That's the biggest f**king knob ever dude
The new knob does stand out abit as it doesn't have the same style as the rest of the gui but I'll have to give you alot of respect because the gui is absolutley awesome!

Flavours of Lime - Tasty gui design for vst plugins.

That new GUI looks phenomenal Adam, and I'm sure the synth will sound fab too!
The only thing I would personally prefer is for the 'back and sides' image areas of the synth to be reduced / omitted, as they look superfluous to me (although there may be some actual function for these areas with the plug-in?)
I appreciate that I may be in the minority here and others - including most importantly yourself - may like this 3d-effect however.

time to answer some questions:
The final working one will have less defined shadows so it should be easier on the eyes, and I also forgot the slider reflections in this image (because when the slider is in the bottom there is no black track anymore to reflect) that will be fixed too.
I have also updated to SM2, and that broke a few things so need to clear that up, and the biggest problem right now is that, I wanted a system where when you hover over a control it displays the info and value in the display. It works great, but when you automate a control and you hover over it, the whole thing crashes.
Right, so my plan is, as an (amateur) sound designer I always wanted to make my dream synth, and I am planning that, but first I wanted to make this. Therefore Id love it if I could get some support for my future projects, and I want to see what kind of interest people show toward my work. So I decided that I will have a free version that disables the lfo, and one layer, but its fully functional, and if people need the additional things they can get the full one for 30€ or something. (or a price thats reasonable)
