Hi Everyone,
I don't have an iPad, iPhone or iPod(?), but I want to use an interface for my, yes, BlackBerry to record and playback audio during a phone call and other instances. (If it makes a difference for you, I plan on connecting my BB to my PC via the iRig and my DAW's interface). I don't plan on using it for playing or recording guitar with my mobile device (BB) and I don't want to buy another gadget (iPad/iPhone) just to take advantage of the application. [It would be cool to play guitar through my blackberry, but hey, I don't really need to.]
So plan on routing the (phone call) audio signal coming out of my BB through the iRig, which is connected to my BB's mic/phone jack, then goes into my audio interface (from iRig's headphone jack) into my DAW; while audio from my DAW goes back to the iRig where my DAW's output signal (without sending the incoming phone signal to avoid feedback and echo) runs into the iRig guitar jack and into my BB (phone call).
Would that scenario work? Particularly without the need for any software to run the iRig (that being Amplitube). So, if anyone has any experience with the iRig, would I be able to use it for the sole purpose of interfacing my BB with my PC?
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,

Yes, my BB's input takes a 3.5mm jack with three rings for mic and stereo phones headset.buscemi wrote:You'd have to have the same combined input/output on the one jack like iOS devices do.
So, I don't need to run Amplitube in order to use an iRig?
Thanks,
