I have a host with no CC automation, I have a plugin with no VST automation..
Is there a VST that can bridge the gap with controlls(kbobs/sliders) assignable to CC values (and that work for midi learn) which also sends those VST automation parameters to the host?
This would get me out of some jams.

Our plug-in called Blue Cat's Remote Control does just that. You might want to check out the demo that is available from our website.
You can control it with the user interface, MIDI CC or automation, and it will output MIDI CC or automation as well.

I am trying this in AudioMulch (win xp 32) and there might be a problem.
For one thing, adjusting the opacity setting effects the entire hosts GUI
and then I saW the red off button led turn off by itself and when I hovered my mouse over it it came back on.
Redrawing of the plugin parameters (rs-met pitchshifter) durring automation sometimes freezes (locks the picture), if I click back on the UI of pitchshifter it comes back to its current state.
That may not be related to what your plugin is doing but I consider it might be because of the way your plugin is effecting the whole hosts GUI

Thank you for giving a try to our plug-in. Please find below our answers:
As said earlier, the only thing that our plug-in may change in the host application is the opacity of the window, but absolutely no other interaction is possible.
The opacity feature is indeed dependent on the host application. In this case, since Audiomulch opens the user interfaces of all plug-ins within its main window (and not a separate floating window for each plug-in), this behavior is unfortunately to be expected.Lying Low wrote: For one thing, adjusting the opacity setting effects the entire hosts GUI
That's a demo version limitation: the plug-in is regularly bypassed. It's not related to your mouse going over the button.and then I saW the red off button led turn off by itself and when I hovered my mouse over it it came back on.
It is likely that the issue is coming either from the other plug-in (does it support automation?) or the host application. Have you tried with another plug-in?

@Blue Cat Audio: The freezing of plugin GUI during automation must have been related to your plugins demo restriction, I should have read the documentation.

I'm using your software in 'Reaper' but when I tweak a knob, my mouse locks onto that particular knob. Meaning I can't tweak any other knobs or click any buttons in the plugin because everytime I do so, it just moves that particular knob and nothing else.
Is this a bug? I am using XP 32 Bit.

If I understand well, this is not the expected behavior. When you click on another knob, doesn't it get the focus? Once you have moved a knob you cannot move any other knob?Naxalite wrote: I'm using your software in 'Reaper' but when I tweak a knob, my mouse locks onto that particular knob. You are exactly correct. It doesn't get the focus. Once I move a knob, I just cannot move anything else on the plugin.
This also seems to apply to your other blue cat's plugins as well.
I tested your plugins in both 'FL Studio 9.7.0' and 'Reaper 3.73 Revision e6b9ce' - both have exactly the same effect.

Ok, we'll give it a try with the same system as yours to see what is happening. Do you have XP SP3? By the way, can you tell us how you use your mouse to move the knobs? Are you using the wheel?

Yes I am currently using XP SP3. How do I use the mouse to move the knobs?
1. I just left click on a knob and while holding the left click button I drag up and down. Once I do this on knob number 1, if I click on knob number 2 and move up and down then it is only knob number 1 that moves again, NOT knob number 2 even when i click on knob number 2. Basically all other knobs become unusable and un-tweakable.
2. If I use mouse wheel I DO NOT get this problem. Mouse wheel makes it all work perfectly.
But then again mouse wheel moves the knobs in small increments which make it very hard to control.
The mentioned above apply both to your DX and VST plugins, I have not tested the others.
Also: Happy New Year to you all!
PS: Would you like me to make a small video demonstrating the problem?

No, it does not. Robin (rs-met) has been discussing this "issue" in his forum. It works with "MIDI" (CC) automation, but not "Vst-automation".Blue Cat Audio wrote:It is likely that the issue is coming either from the other plug-in (does it support automation?)...

We're talking about the CC automation of those plugins in this case.Shabdahbriah wrote:No, it does not. Robin (rs-met) has been discussing this "issue" in his forum.
