BTW, guys if you want to hear some cool MetaSynth work, I recently worked on some cool projects and used MetaSynth extensively...
1) Tron Evolution Game.

I worked closely with Sascha Dikiciyan, the lead composer of the soundtrack, to achieve a very futurist sound for the soundtrack. I supplied several hundred musical sound-design parts that were used in most/all of the cues of the score. These were generally all made with MetaSynth and/or some combination of MetaSynth and my own 2CAudio Aether and Breeze (alpha/beta versions at the time) products.

Additionally I used some top secret new 2CAudio plugins that we are working on currently.
2) Film director David Lynch is making an album and having it remixed by several leading EM/dance artists.

I had the honor to work with Sasha (again after also working on Invol2er) on his remix, and supplied a large number of the parts/sounds used in the remix. These were all created with MetaSynth, Aether, and Breeze.
It's always an honor working with both Sasha and Sascha and having an opportunity to use our tools on these kind of cool projects...
The Tron score is available now. The DL Sasha remix comes out soon...
Crazy weird plug-in for mac for sound design

For completeness, I'd like to mention Michel Rouzics amazing Photosounder. It's an intriguing sound mangler/sound design tool.
It's being continually developed for PC and Mac and the Forum thread is here:
www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=155
A personal license is a very reasonable $59.

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

A personal license which can't be used in any commercially released product like a tune, a song, a piece, a fugue, a score, a soundtrack etc.Spitfire31 wrote:For completeness, I'd like to mention Michel Rouzics amazing Photosounder. It's an intriguing sound mangler/sound design tool.

From the web site:
"The non-commercial license entitles you to updates for only one major version number (i.e. until versions 2.x included) and the resulting audio cannot be sold or used in commercial products. E-mail support isn't included."
It's $59 for a fully working limitless non-expirable demo in my eyes.
I tried to get Michel Rouzics to consider changing the license to be similar to the Reaper license which is based on your income (of music?). He didn't think that was such a good idea which I find is a shame. Still cool tool though so do check it out here:
