Here at the Wave Alchemy HQ we are proud to announce our Christmas 2010 sample pack - Tech House & Minimal

Before I get into any technical details, here is a free download which includes over 60MB of sounds taken directly from "Tech House & Minimal" for you guys to check out. Feel free to use these sounds in your productions

What's included in the sample pack?

• 930MB of sample content (1.3GB including REX 2 files)

• 1340 24-bit, 100% royalty free wav samples

• 616 precisely edited REX loops

• 202 drum loops including chunky tech house workouts, stripped back beats and intricately produced minimal techno rhythms

• 228 top loops - beautifully programmed kick free / add-on loops which can be used to enhance existing grooves or mixed together for endless possibilities. Including glitchy after-hours percussion, driving house add-on grooves and intelligently produced minimal patterns

• 101 synth loops included twisted leads, lush analogue beds and inspirational chord sequences

• 85 bass loops featuring snappy analogue squelches, pitch-bent minimal techno subs and uniquely layered warbles

• 30 sound effects samples including creative rise effects, noise falls, quirky electronic noises and everything in-between

• 45 tempo-synced sound effects - inspiring sound effects sounds and loops to be used in sync with your music. Including pitched risers, creatively side-chained noise and layered sfx loops

• 401 finely crafted drum hits which have been produced and recorded with our unique collection of high-end outboard studio gear. Folders are broken down into categories such as kick drums, snares & claps, hats, glitch & fx perc and synth percussion

• 23 'ready to play' multi-sampled analogue synth patches. Synths used include the Future Retro XS, Korg-MS-20, Moog Voyager and Waldorf Pulse amongst many others. All patches optimized and provided in Kontakt, Reason NNXT, Halion, EXS24 and SFZ formats

• 10 drum kits including sampler patches for Battery, Kontakt, Reason NNXT, Halion, EXS24 and SFZ

I'm really looking forward to Drum Tools 02. I'm sure I'll love whatever sounds and folders are in it.

I'd like to see more in the 'drum tools' folder, because I like layering sounds. Also, you have a lot of fantastic synth/analog drums already; I'd like to hear more digital (drum machines) and hybrid sounds. I love layering digital and analog drums, but I'd like to hear the wave alchemist interpretation.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Firstly we are definately going to be including a lot more 'Drum Tools' and layering tools.

I find the layering of digital and analog (hybrid) sounds quite interesting and will definately take a look into that idea further. We will also be layering live recorded percussion hits with the parts of electronic drums / transients etc. Sort of like a hybrid acoustic / electronic type affair.

Great idea!
For the "digital" drum machines, here are some ideas which come to my mind: Sequential Circuits DrumTraks, Oberheim DMX, Linn Electronics LM-1 Drum Computer, Yamaha RX5, Roland TR707, Korg DDD-5 etc.

Hi GilJ!

Very nice list of drum machines there!

My idea would be to use a selection of digital drum machines as source material for layering some of the DT02 sounds and then also offer a selection of the full 'extensively sampled' digital drum machines as 'Drum Machines 03'
