Nice update... can't argue with the price.

I like how this version is geared more towards pattern composition. The multiple lane view is nicely implemented and the drag and drop function is useful as well.

The sound of the machine is the same but I've always liked its timbre anyways so it's not a big deal to me that it lacks new synthesis options.

The randomiser and edit all make for some really nice creative tools though. More synths should have macro editing tools like that for global edits. It really got me digging into microtonic a lot more, a big improvement. :)

Hmmm one question about the morphing , is it possible to exclude a parameter from the morph ( I know that when you don't clcik on a fader it doesn't get assigned )but I mean for independent parameter automation
Let's say that I have al the parameters of a drum channel assigned to the morph value except the pitch of osc .1
NOw I automate the pitch of osc 1 .slow linear curve from 20khz to 100hz , now when I automate the morph slider , it automtically takes the current value of osc 1 and assigns it to the morph , but that's not what I want , I want certain parameters to be excluded from the morph value and have independent control over their automation , this seems like a real deal breaker to me .
Or am I missing something ?
And how do I unnassign all parameters from morph ?
Other then that , nice update :)

Nope, I don't see any options where you can specify which parameters you want to morph/not morph. That would be cool though, it would allow for a deeper level of control.

You can do that kind of stuff with Ultrabeat, I'm not sure which other software drum machines have that capability.

morphing shmorfing; one question 64 bit or not ??? that's it that's all I wanted from them and no instead its look you can do this live and if you buy this.... you can do this... crap!

They added everything I wanted in the update. The morphing isn't really my thing but probably fun if you are into that sort of thing. It'll take me a bit to get used to the new look though.

the morhping thing who really cares!!! morphing live when and who is going to take that piece of "software" live without processsing. all I wanted is 64bit support in the products we paid for ie synplant and micro. Thats it no extra bells an whistles and the pointless paid extras. deliver please sonic charge.

EDIT: http://www.soniccharge.com/mt3upgrade
Thanks for posting that, I saw it after I'd already emailed Sonic Chrge asking how to do it so had to send them another mail saying I had it under control. Not very obvious what to do (before I found your link) just looking at their main site. Maybe I'm just being dumb.

Anyway, for me so far it's the new Matrix Editor that rocks the most.

Great product.

I've used it live a few times. It's rock solid. never crashed ever and I bought it right when it came out. you can get a lot of noise out of an instance of microtonic and a few plugins.

Not me but i don't play live. Are you talking about adding compressors and eqs? Yo could probably do this in maschine when they add vst support. I know that's not gonna help unless you're planning to buy maschine anyway but it should be killer with the full hands on control. All depends on how maschine handles the routing of multitimbral plugins.

no all I want is 64 bit compatability... don't give a shiz about Eqs and comps if I want to do that I will but I would never use microtonic live with all that morphing ..maybe sound design but live no, to me it is self indulgent bullshit for the developer and "artist".
