The fact that it's not 64 bit got explained a few days ago here. Sucks if you want it but there you go.

New features are clearly not only for playing live - why do you keep harping on about that?

Anyway, shame you're not happy with the free update. Never mind.

Yeah I think the morph isn't really that usefull for live use , sound design wise its 's ok , but I expected something bigger for a major upgrade .
Besides , I could do the morphing with microtonic 2..and some clever routings with renoise meta devices ( hydra, midi cc , )
That said , It's a shame you can't exclude parameters from the morph target ,
or even exclude everything once assigned ..
After playing with it for about an hour or two I must say microtonic is still awonderfull piece of software , but the added features are kinda weak for a 3.0 release .
Eyeball exchanging
Soul calibrating ..frequencies

kind of strong for a free update, methinks.

There's a few nice little extras, nothing to get too excited about. But as a free upgrade it's pretty good.

Personally I'd have loved to have seen a variable-length pattern grid up to 32 steps, but meh, can't argue with free.

Can't say I'm a fan of the new skin... the old one looked much clearer and sharper.

at first i was a bit, oh, is that all?

but now i've had a few hours playing with it im more than happy. especially with the upgrade price :D

being able to load in just the patches from a preset is fantastic, especially with the morphing.

overall its a lot more usable and way more creative. cant argue with that for free.

one little suggestions / question, when using the drop down preset menu is there a way to just load the patches?. if not, could there be please, like ctrl + click for patches and shift + click for patterns. thanks. :)

One question, I can't try it now but maybe some of you may give me an answer. I've got lots of projects using Microtonic, and I don't want to have compatibility issues. If I install version 3, will my projects open with the new version with no issues?

'µTonic 3.0 is 100% backwards compatible with µTonic 2.0 and when you load your old projects, it will sound virtually identical, so do not hesitate to upgrade.'

also i noticed the mention of using script files. any documentation about this 'PikaScript' anywhere and how to use it?

I won't. Microtonic has been my most frequently used vst ever, present in almost all my songs. Best money spent ever for me! Thanks for the info!
