I've already decided on MultiTrackDAW for my main recording app (see: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=306865).
But I also have a need for a simple single track recorder for recording interviews. Doesn't have to have stereo, I'll only be using a mono mic. Think of this as a Dictaphone, but with good sound quality, and that's what I'm looking for.
My priority is ease of use - all I need is to be able to set recording levels, start and stop recording, and record multiple individual sound files (i.e. not just one big file which I'll have to edit later). If you could name those files at the time of recording that would be great, but it's not essential.
Free would be good!
Any suggestions?
