Hi all,
I was wondering what the options are for using Zen on a computer that never goes online. The website mentions using a daemon to update the database residing on an external HD, but I don't get how this should be done. When I dubble click ZenDaemon.exe, nothing happens.
Any tips?
Thanks,
Seppe

Double-clicking ZenDaemon.exe should open a DOS window. This window won't display anything, but you can see that things are happening by looking at the zend.log file in your Zen directory.
Now, about the setup with 2 computers - let's say you have the following:
- computer A is online
- computer B is offline
- You want to install the shared Zen database in Z:/Zen/
You will need to:
- install Zen both on A and B
- put Zen offline on B
- edit the zen.properties file on both computers and define
zen.homePath: Z:/Zen
- run ZenDaemon.exe on A
