"Phosphor is a VSTi/AU instrument modeled on the alphaSyntauri, a vintage digital additive synth. The original alphaSyntauri required an Apple //e to operate, but we've gone ahead and eliminated the middle-man, and now you can have this classic digital synth in your DAW of choice."

8) thanks...
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Is this an emulation of a softsynth then? That would be a first perhaps?

Does this have its own preset management system?

Very interesting - I like the retro sound of this.

Yeh, that'd make it easier for their customers to use their products.
So probably not.

hmmm I dunno.. I'm not (yet) really impressed at how it sounds to be honest. You can definitely hear it's additive, but it sounds quite ordinary and somewhat on the thin side to me.

Also I'm wondering about the cpu load, since Tattoo is quite cpu hungry for a drum synth and considering this one is even additive..

But who knows? Not me  Not much can be really said about it based upon a few audio demo's and a GUI picture.

Yeah, sounds good, definitely has that additive sound. Makes me want to go play with my copy of Harmless actually.

It's a tried and true technique: to make something seem fatter it's best to put it next to something thin.
