1.3 has been really stable so far (Live 8.2.1 OSX 10.6.5) No more crashes.

It's funny by the way, the previous versions crashed on me all the time and I couldn't even use it properly and now the latest version works perfect but everybody else seem to have problems now

Funny hehe .. I'm on Mac / OS X and it seems the memory leak that was fixed was the cause of the crashes (Almost immediate crashes in Ableton Live)

I'm still curious about some behavioral problems. In sonar x1 there simple is no mouse wheel control

(it's fine in reaper though)

Nearly impossible if you don't have an 8+ track tape machine to "print" your stuff on to tape first, then into the DAW (either in realtime or synced).

Not impossible, but we perhaps have a different approach.
I usually track drums elsewhere and use tube preamps / comps - for the remaining instruments I add saturation on single tracks or busses (sometimes directly applying it from a comp like the rocket or bombardier) at an early stage in the mix: can always freeze in case CPU power is not enough or just render the tracks (not an issue, as I always use 32 bit float depth).

I'm still stuck in Demo mode, haven't installed the update yet.
I wonder if I have a bad registrey entry.Should I use a registry cleaner?

I would try to move the license to the Desktop and uninstall. Use a cleaner (I use Ccleaner which never did a mess like others), then re-install and manually move the license into the proper folder... if you didn't try already.

But if you tried different solutions, the license file could be corrupt.

Maybe I'm missing something really basic...but how all of you get to know when the updates are out? I never received a single mail or notification from NF.

The license is in the correct location, its sits right next to my sc 226 license, the sc226 works fine.I've requested and received a second auth file,
but magnetic is still in demo mode.

I don't doubt it is in the correct location, my phrasing was probably not clear enough: I just intended to move it prior to uninstalling, cleaning and re-installing.

It looks like a weird problem indeed.

Nomad factory reset my authorizations and told me to run the new installer,
cubase 5 stopped working.Has anyone got the new installer to work on windows 7 x64?
