@Amused: It looks like you have Kore2 setup as your midi input on that track? I thought you were trying to play midi from a keyboard to play Mojito?
I'm confused now as to what you're trying to do.
The input should be pointed to the device where your midi keyboard is playing, if that's what you're doing, not "listening" to Kore 2.
Unless you've actually named your Keyboard device thingy "Kore 2"?

Wonder why there are so many know it alls that chat rubbish on KVRmichi_mak wrote:what is it that many a Reaper user talks about other DAWs without in depth knowledge ( and stating wrong assumptions from time to time )???rodneyorpheus wrote:Open Impact, drag samples to the pads to make a kit, click on the little file button on the top left beside the preset name, select "Store Preset..."NAS wrote: Silly little things like having a drum machine that you can't save kits in ?
And if you want to make a multisampled kit: hold down shift when you drag a sample to a pad to add it as a layer (up to 8 layers per pad).

ps did Presonus already address the Automap issue ( steppy automation when using Automap )?
A preset is not a kit (You may want to check the forum for S1, even the devs know this is a problem and have said they will add support)

I mean shareable kits Lawrence not simple presets that just link to files on your driveLawrenceF wrote:Sure you can. I have custom Impact kits using Battery samples. Not sure why you'd think that was the case?NAS wrote:Silly little things like having a drum machine that you can't save kits in ?
There are early frustrations and confusions when using any unfamiliar product so I'd say don't give up so easily. I experienced similar with Reaper, it didn't start to "take" (make any sense at all) until my second or third go at it.
I have checked on this before posting (Anybody who knows me knows i'm anything if not thorough) and even the devs say this is an issue at the minute and the internal tools used for the job are such a pita they just cant release them until they have coded something better (That is straight from the offical foru by the way and this is a very common request)

Yes I named it Kore 2. I can confirm this seems to be a bug with the Kore drivers. If I switch to my Ti drivers it plays fine.LawrenceF wrote:@Amused: It looks like you have Kore2 setup as your midi input on that track? I thought you were trying to play midi from a keyboard to play Mojito?

It was one example of a bunch of things i noticed that had already been mentioned on their forum
OK what is the issue with sharing the way you said
Well if you go read their forum you will find (And there is admissions by the devs in these threads that there is an issue) that sometimes s1 simply can not find the samples, this is why they are getting something together to be able to save as a kit.
I know from previous experience that no matter what anyone says about s1 you will have a reply but hey i am going by what its own devs have said on the official forum here.

although to the devs credit they have said publicly on the forum too, If you want to share a kit, send it to them and they will use the crappy tools they have now to make it into a .soundset
Which is very cool of them it must be said

Yeah, I'm understanding you better now NAS. If you need to collect the samples being used in your multiple custom preset based kits - say you'll be re-formatting your system - then that will be necessary to not have to manually duplicate all of the directory folders ... or your presets won't load afterward when you put them back, it won't know where the samples are.NAS wrote:although to the devs credit they have said publicly on the forum too, If you want to share a kit, send it to them and they will use the crappy tools they have now to make it into a .soundset

I get it and fully agree. If you can package those up it will make like much easier.
Thanks NAS.

It seems as though it's simply a combination of a whitelist and fixed VST plugins path. If you put any plugin in a folder named VSTPlugins inside the Studio One main folder and give it the same name as one of the allowed plugins (e.g. Kore Player.dll) it will load and play. So if you load a host plugin like Kore (full) or Energy XT that way you can load any plugin.jazzimprov wrote:also, if there are no 3rd party vst's in artist, how does guitar rig and ezdrummer work? No the input is always Kore midi in - the output is Kore midi out - there is no other option in fact - host software recognises which are the ins and outs automatically - I can't switch them roundSolarRainUK wrote:I might be completely wrong here..just wondering. But shouldn't Receive and Send settings be the opposite way around? For instance: Receive From: Kore MIDI Out?
Pretty sure it's a bug now - sent off a support request and bug report to NI and PreSonus

My confusion over your comment, and it was only that, not drama or argument, was to this...
Because (and I'm human and maybe I missed it, possibility allowed) but I don't think you can package up kits into a single combined file format like that in Cubase's drum machine or Reaper's sample player (maybe you can, dunno)... so I was not sure what exactly made it silly here or what host does that with their custom drum kits that people build on their own.NAS wrote:Silly little things like having a drum machine that you can't save kits in ?
There must be a host that does that with their bundled drum machine otherwise the comment makes no sense to me. That's all it was.
Sorry for the misunderstanding there NAS but you can probably see why I was confused as to where you were going with it.
Apologies man. I agree with the utility thing.

interesting, So if I want to use ozone 4 for example. I give it a name of one of the allowed vst's? I would call it ezdrummer .dll and Ozone would come up?
but then You would have to lose one to gain one if I am understanding you correctly... is that what you mean??
