For example because I want more than 8 parts?

A 16 part / 16 stereo out version would mitigate this need, but for example think about using Phenome as GM/GS instrument.

I'm new to all this music making and i'm a bit confused. i'm using FL Studio and wondering how I can layer different channels into Phenome.

Earlier I tried opening up multiple instances of Phenome and having each one play one particular instrument, but when I converted the project into an .mp3 only one of the phenome instruments came through. Am I doing this completely wrong? Thanks.

Certainly the intent is that it should respond only to a pitch bend signal coming in on the assigned channel.

nice plugin! just needs a few minor adjustments - like proper amplitude
velocity (eg on rhodes presets)... And perhaps some LFO's and stuff!
looking forward to the update

hey thanks, I did not know this one was now free!!
just downloaded it, and tried it... and it works very well.
With my big 256 piano soundfont, the first two seconds, the sound is only coming from one side... but then everything is ok.

Very convenient, I think it may replace sfz... now the thing is, I have some sfz sounds, and sfz free is the only player that can really load them. (for free, I mean)

Can't get it to remember Data location.

Did what you said in the first post. Even went to the config file to make sure path is there -- it is. setup screen shows correct path. you click on presets or sf and you get to the right area. exit phenome and it doesn't go to path when you click on preset. go to setup and correct path is still there.

in other words, even though path shows correct, next time you open phenome, or even if you open another instance of it won't go to path when clicking on preset/sf load.

The missing sound is because it's not finished loading before you play

I was never able to get this working either, but have saved Phenome (with the correct path opened) as an FX chain in Reaper which I can load and then the path will be correct.

:) Thanks V'ger !

I can probably do that in Ableton too.

Wow! What a great plugin for sf2! I'm two years late but I really think this is the best soundfont player out there! Two bad Prodryon has a bad way of doing business with all the confusions, his company going back & forth into the web every 2-3 years... I would have supported presets for this great VST but I won't. Great VSTi anyhow!

... and too bad it has bugs, never fixed even though reported (try Soundfonts with multiple banks in it).

Phenome really had the potential to be the best Soundfont player period.
It never fulfilled the promise for me :)
