I just installed ezdrummer, the vst was installed to C:/VstPlugins/FLStudio. It showed up in S1 so i renamed ezdrummer2.dll, copied maschine.dll to the same folder, renamed it and it showed up!
So you don't need to create another vst folder within S1, at least on windows 7.

renaming the vst seems work but it shows as an instrument not an fx.
you can run the fx chainer (renamed)for multiple vsts but I get a message that there is no outputs so there will be no sound. any way around this?
why not just redo the whitelist or black list ? its apity that the artist doesn't allow vst's

Sorry, but I didn't get that. Could you please explain this once again for a non-native speaker?musikmachine wrote:I just installed ezdrummer, the vst was installed to C:/VstPlugins/FLStudio. I recognized by myself that ezd shows up immediately no matter where it is installed to.
But what about about this "machine.dll" thing?
Machine shows up in S1Artist? And it's called "ezdrummer2" in the plugin list inside S1 ?!? Sorry for my dumbness.

Guitar Rig link doesn't work, says this product needs registering via service centre. Where do you download the software itself? There's no LE version on the NI site or in the downloads apart from a Computer music version so do you use the Player version instead? Presonus really should provide links with the serials lol.Steplton wrote:For Guitar Rig: http://co.native-instruments.com/?id=registerSo where is our software Presonus ?
For EZDrummer Lite: https://www.toontrack.com/register_product.asp
Downloads will be available after registration of your serials.

Search for where ezdrummer.dll is located and rename it ezdrummer2.dll.MountainKing wrote:Sorry, but I didn't get that. Now just copy the vst plugin you want to use to the same folder and rename it ezdrummer.dll.
In S1 ezdrummer should show up in the browser as before but it will now be the plugin that you renamed. In my case i renamed maschine.dll to ezdrummer.dll and now maschine loads instead of ezdrummer. Hope that's clear.

Ah, yes. Now I got it.musikmachine wrote: Search for where ezdrummer.dll is located and rename it ezdrummer2.dll.

I tried that. No success here. I located ezdrummer in the manually created "Vstpluigins" folder in the S1 program path. Renamed it "ezdrummer2". S1 doesn't recognize ezd anymore in this case.
What am I doing wrong?

I dig studio one, I haven't tracked in it that much, but I feel it's a great intro DAW.

It's not bad at all imo for what it is.hibidy wrote:Again, I really am surprised by the content!
Just as a general "...maybe get maximum use out of the content..." thing...
Some of the loops are really well done and even if you don't like using loops in your music (many don't) they are still a huge "farm" for (as one example) drum samples.
Just Ctl + Drag over a kick or snare or whatever in a loop, highlight it, and drag the selection directly into an Impact pad. I've pulled some things out of some loops that way to make new kits that are pretty good. Same with bass. I've searched the loops for sustained bass notes and dragged a few into Sample One to play.
So the loop collection can still be a valuable resource even for people who don't like using loops. I did the same kind of things with Cubase while others dismissed the loop content as bloat, pulled some nice stuff from there.

Whichever plugin you want to use in it's place you need to place in the same folder and rename it ezdrummer.dll. So if you want to use Zebra you would rename it to ezdrummer.dll. I only renamed ezdrummer.dll to ezdrummer2.dll cause you can't have two files with the same name in the same folder and i might want to use it. You can probably just cut and paste the ezdrummer.dll and put it anywhere you want. Thre important thing is that you rename whatever plugin you want to use within S1 to ezdrummer.dll.MountainKing wrote:Ah, yes. Maschine is a drum sequencer/workstation thing from native instruments. It will be able to host vst plugins soon so this is a workaround for the lack of vst support until i upgrade. You could use FL Studio or Energy XT, just rename them to ezdrummer.dll.
Hang on, i thought you knew all this anyway; isn't this your post on the Presonus forums: http://oldforums.presonus.com/showpost. ... ostcount=4

I've done a little bit with it and it's so easy. I wanted something primarily for audio and this seems perfect for mixing and arranging so far.botkiller wrote:I dig studio one, I haven't tracked in it that much, but I feel it's a great intro DAW.

I've turned several "guitar" and other acoustic instrument friends onto this deal, and they are ecstatic!musikmachine wrote:I've done a little bit with it and it's so easy. Though missing some of the more esoteric features, I'd compare it to a "cool-edit" multi-track approach, which for $20.00, is not a bad thing.
