I hate the internet, here's why - Zen inappropriate name at the moment

This doesn't just apply to Big Tick, it happens a lot. I try to find an answer to what surely must be a common question, and spend hours trawling through endless pages to find nothing. Here goes.

ZEN!

Far from it, all I want to do is try it out to see if it suits. I download, install, drag dll into vst folder.

Run, completely blank. Told I need to configure plugins first, click button, no plugins listed. Follow instructions for importing presets, all not recognised (from supported synths) presumably because it's not got any plugins in the database.

How do I get the plugins listed? Well now there's the question. Run it in minihost drag a few fxb's into Zen, not supported. The FAQ tells me to autoimport via the import button, where's that then? Read that I need to run server update program. That's odd, I don't have one.

User key available after purchase of presets, maybe it's because I have no user key or any wish to purchase any presets to use a free product?

Help me out, restore my faith in the internet and yourselves

Not a Zen user myself, but.. to cheer you up, Big Tick has very good and personal support here and through e-mail to his customers (yes, that includes his free products), so I'm sure he will get you up and running as soon as he can

Any of you guys know why it's not listing my plugins, if it's something simple I overlooked I'm going to feel pretty stupid, but hey, that's nothing new for me.

Are you connected to the internet ? Make sure you have the little disc connection icon (lower right) toggled on. Zen needs it, at least the first time, to download the latest list of plugins from the server.

If this doesn't solve it, please email me your zen.log file (in C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Big Tick\Zen], or even better, the entire contents of this folder) - at bigtick@bigtickaudio.com

Problem solved, great product, few niggles it sometimes opens plugin windows so high that I can't close them or move them down the screen. Not a big problem however. I love the fact you can so quickly hear the different presets.

Thanks again for your help, the problem was indeed the fact that my music PC by default has no internet connection, once a few presets downloaded it then listed my plugins.
