Been using Cubase for over a decade, underwhelmed by the Cubase 6 announcement...it's a good program but far too many things I don't need in there (Score, Vari audio, etc...) and it seems they are moving further away from EDM music with the latest round of features...seems like its more suited to bands or film composers.

Glad I jumped in on this deal for Studio One Artist and look forward to upgrading... refreshing and streamlined workflow!

Yeah, I've been working on some tutorials with it, and I also really like the mix/mastering features. The integration with Soundcloud is cool, too.

I'm using Kontakt, Omnisphere, EW's Play and Reaktor with it. Not so limited version.

Oh is that built in to Artist as well? Sweet! I need to check out some tutorials, there's probably loads of cool stuff i'm missing.

They said that the instruments and tutorials will be put in the accounts a little later. I guees that it will be when most of the people have finished getting their installers and soundsets and their servers aren't so overloaded.

tbh, I'm x64 so the "kore" stuff is out. I could have it be able to load my full versions of GR4 and EZD but I probably won't bother. Being a host collector there is a very good chance I'll upgrade later. But I want to learn it much better first (and I'm pretty slow)

I've turned several "guitar" and other acoustic instrument friends onto this deal, and they are ecstatic!

Though missing some of the more esoteric features, I'd compare it to a "cool-edit" multi-track approach, which for $20.00, is not a bad thing.

Yeah it's clearly aimed at musicians and songwriters who might not be all that tech savvy. I just thought, this'd be perfect for a mate of mine.

Sometimes you just wanna make some music without anything getting in the way and Presonus really seem to have nailed that.

Funny... I thought it might be aimed at musicians and songwriters who are in fact musicians and songwriters and not tech nerds aimed at making bleeps and blorts and calling it music. In other words....not having a hundred nonsensical tweaks to get basic functionality is a bit of an eye opener...speaking from the perspective of a musician and songwriter of course.

No, that's cleverness.

And sloppiness on Presonus' part. It's their fault that this workaround exists, not the user's. Should they patch it, fair doos.

But...that said, the Karma balances out in my mind. When you trick the program into doing something that it should have been able to do in the first place.

Honestly...leave out 3rd party VST support? Chrrrrist. I would have *never* bought it at full price.
