Is there a list somewhere with all the sounds listed on it?
I know they are all in banks, but some overlap into other categories. Like the Famous bank has ones from various banks, for example.
I thought it would be cool to have a list of everything, and what bank(s) they're in.
Maybe like in Excel (or something else) just to make it easier to find one by name that I was using previously.

no, there insn't - in fact, this indeed would be a work on its own; the concept of the OP-X PRO-II library is to find the right sound for every need & situation as fast as possible, so the structure is strictly category-based - if you're looking for a lead/solo soud you have all of those in one bank, if you need a sound of a famous song it's too in its own bank - and so one single sound easily can be found in several banks, depending on is function; some kind of search engine maybe could be a solution... or yes, a unique list of all; but I guess in most situations you'll anyway look for a sound on a categorized base, and after some time you'll get an idea of where is what; it's not easy to structurize a very large amount of sounds; sorted by name it won't have a real use; but sorted by category you can get your brain to remember where is what, and after some time you'll know the individual sounds, even if they appear in several categories

Actually I didn't read what you posted till just now, and I already started making an excel spreadsheet early this morning.
Each sheet in it is for a different bank, and it has all the sounds for that bank listed on it.
I got through around 6 banks so far, and will finish it by tomorrow night.
It is mainly just for my own use (sort of a side project), but if others want it I could email it over to you or post it somewhere.

No need to be typing up massive lists of sounds.
My program for writing Liosntracs files extracts all that data.
If you go here.
http://www.lionstracs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=143
Download each file and open it in Note Pad. Copy it and Special Paste it into Excel using ";" as your separator.
Simply, quick and easy.
Regards
Sharp.
PS.. Peter, just given you a little plug on KORG Forums.

Deserves it, it's a great VSTi.

Thanks, but I didn't type out anything, I used Minihost to output each bank as seperate presets into a folder.Sharp wrote:No need to be typing up massive lists of sounds.

Then I used a free program from here:
http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptdirprn.asp
it makes a text file out of whichever directory you want.
Then I just copied and pasted from the text file of each bank into Excel. Actually I used OpenOffice's verion of it, but close enough.
