A mod should just delete the whole topic IMO, if the guy posts a link or starts another topic with the Access logo then on his head be it,simple as that.

Good point...............might be the wrong person that gets in trouble as a result of this thread.............again........

For the record, there are threads in the archives here that have an access skin, complete with logo, and that wasn't banned, pickited, set on fire or chased out of town by a pitchfork weilding mob.
I have the skin in my Z3ta folder, downloaded years ago from a link posted on this very site.
If it wasn't a problem back then, why now?

If you guys look at the skins on the link that I posted, you'll see at this isn't the first Z3TA skin based off another product. There is a Live skin, a Nord skin (created by yours truly), and another Virus (Snow) skin. I guess you argue that the difference lies in the use of the logo, but the intent is certainly the same.

If we're talking about registered trademarks and copyright, and sadly it seems we are, to the detriment of a couple of new Z3ta skins thread.

When someone releases say, a sound bank for example. Do they have to pay a royalty when they name a patch 'moog lead' or 'jp800 pad'?

Not really sure why the Access logo was placed on a skin for a Cakewalk product, but maybe I'm missing something.

Personally, I'd like to see the Steinway logo on there.
