Is there a way to tab the metronome tempo from a footpedal or keyboard - would be exelent for studio and jamming work.

You can "detect" tempo by tapping keys on the keyboard. There is a hard to see small symbol at the right from the arrows to decrease/increase values of the tempo slider. Use the context popup info to locate it (home ribbon - metronome).

When you click on that you get a dialog box that shows a tempo value according to the tempo you tap keys on the keyboard - when the option is set. You can enter tempo values also numerically there - without the need using the tempo slider.

Seems only to work when no media file has been loaded...

I guess it's not what you hoped for, isn't it?

Thanks a lot - this was what I was looking for - it would be nice to have it on a pedal, so you can tab the rempo while playeng to get the exact good feeling - but this can also be used.
