Cheers for the submission and yea, DAW EQ is the only plug that is allowed in addition to 3rd party ones. (except for Reaper whose plugs are available to all)

Cool, I totally misread that, but it makes much more sense now, Thanks!satYatunes wrote:This is what the rule says:
External effects: Allowed but must be freeware and easily available to all except your DAW's native EQ which is ok. Modulation effects like chorus, phaser, flanger etc or effects that transform the sounds to make them
unrecognizable as being from the synth are not allowed
So it's ok.

Guilty as charged! actually I pulled the delay out of the bass w/ automation in one part... I just couldn't stop!satYatunes wrote:
Some nice groove going on there... I guess playing with the delay finally paid offcause I hear delay in almost every element in the track
don't take it in wrong way... overall it's an excellent track... good luck.

I've had swp8 in my vsti coffers for quite some time but never really explored it completely. This contest gave me a chance to really see its power and versatility. It took me a good 4 hours just to get the drums right and another few to write the track. All of this was done using Buzz Modular Studio. I mastered with Audacity.
12 instances of swp8 bounced drums to wave to save cpu cycles
Effects -
TAL Reverb 3 2 instances
mda - banddistortion 1 instance
TAL - Chorus 1 instance
mda - Multiband Comp 1 instance
IIEQ - 1 instance
Free87 FREQ 1 instance
free 87 FR - Limit 1 instance
I made it short for the sake of the judges having ot listen to so many tracks.

Nice work. I think first time I've seen someone using the Free87 stuff here.
No big deal, but the naming and tagging of the file is slightly wrong. Reminder to all to check this please so we know when voting what song is what.

There's no artist name.

The mp3 file tag is ok, but the file name itself is just: "p8contest.mp3", and the soundcloud tag is without artist name.

I am trying to do Bass Kick and I find the sound "drifts" a lot; it seems LFO related however, I am not sure how to stop this. I would like the sound static. On other synths I know how to easily stop the LFO "drift", on this one I am not sure. If anyone understands what I am trying to say please educate me, thanks.

You need to record a one hit that suits you and then use a sampler to trigger. Thats how I solved it. I noticed the drift early on. Course I never altered the sample-rate or mangled it in any way. swp8 seems to do this when most other ones like synth1 are rock solid. I guess its the only fault I can find with swp8.

Can I reupload to correct or is it too late?

Thanks Xaphoid I cannot believe I did not thank to do this. I will sample the one hit, and EQ it, that is ok with the rules, I hope.
