I got a huge question Ben.
Which NKX files are the amped guitars? Basically I have no need for the pre-amped stuff and it's taking up a good amount of space on my Laptop Harddrive which only have 160g's total.
So is there a way to remove the amped samples by deleting the files are are the files spread around so all of the NKX files are needed?
It's just its hard to have 30gigs taken up with I only use a small aspect of the software.

Hi Kurari,
there are no NKX files for the amped guitars. The amp is an FX, just like Chorus and Delay. So it won't save you any space unfortunately.

Benjamin,
does Vir2 have any plans to support VST 3.5?

As an aside, I have a track in the music cafe that has Electri6ity for all of the guitars: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=309789
Though I know they can sound much better, I'm quite happy with it as a first attempt.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love this product.
Cheers,
Kosh

I would have thought that the first dependency on this would be for Kontact to support VST 3.5? Probbably best lobbying NI...peterjgross wrote: does Vir2 have any plans to support VST 3.5?

Guess you are right. Once Kontakt supports VST 3.5 i would think Vir2 can opt to offer Expression Maps (like they did for previous VST version).Kosh42EFG wrote:I would have thought that the first dependency on this would be for Kontact to support VST 3.5? Hi,bill45 wrote:Kosh,
Good job on the guitars, What amp sim did you use?
Many thanks for that. For the amp I used Line 6's PODFarm on all of them, but with different amps and settings (see below), and also had tape saturation quite heavily on the guitars using the excelent Freeware Ferric TDS, which is also used elsewhere on the track to warm it up a bit (including light application on the master bus).
Hope this helps,
Kosh

I figured it out.
I just moved the library and looked up what nkx files were getting used when they "missing" window came up. I only use the Les Paul so I only kept 2/3/4 nkx files and it saved me 20 gigs of space. Which means I can have other things I need installed at the same time.

Hey everyone! I just bought Electri6ity, a few days ago, and I am really enjoying it!
I have a feature request... It would be great if we could seperate each String into its own Midi Channel so we can be extremely accurate about where each note is played on the Fret Board, OTS's Evolution Electric Guitar has this, and it allows me to determine EXACTLY where every note will be played, how it will be played, and makes it very realistic. I'm not being able to slide when I want to because the notes aren't on the same string when they should be, but Electri6ity doesn't realize this, even though I'm on the 9th poistion on the fretboard where most of the slides take place.
6 different midi channels for 6 different strings, is there any chance that this could happen? The Fretboard position is nice, but it doesn't play the exact notes I have tabbed out, and I don't really want to have to use a Midi CC to change from different positions on the fretboard when even then it may not give me the right strings or frets.
Other than this, I'm loving it!
Oh and also, about the tuning... it really throws me off to see a C tuning... I transfer my Guitar Pro tabs to my DAW, and I always compare my tabs to the fretboard in Electri6tiy and EEG, but because Electri6ity is using standard tunings, but tuned down a few whole setps, it makes it difficult when my music is in a Dropped Tuning, like Drop C, or even Drop D, if that makes sense...
BASICALLY, this is the tuning for Electri6ity's C tuning...
C
G
D#
A#
F
C
and this is what I would use...
D

Any chance we could have the option to view the fretboard with a dropped tuning rather than a Standard tuning?

Keep the feature requests coming! I can't promise all off them will be included in an update, but I'll definitely try.

Hi, can anyone please explain me how to update electri6ity to version 1.1? I copied the Instruments folder and Electri6ity_info.nkx like it says in the manual and nothing changes, it's still on version 1.0
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi Oceanic815,
are you on Mac or PC? Can you locate the original Electri6ity_info.nkx and the original nkis?
On PC they can be found here: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Electri6ity Library.
Theoretically overwriting the old ones with the new ones should work fine.
Please let me know what exactly you did. I'm sure we can figure it out together.

I just noticed that the info page still shows 1.0, eventhough 1.1 is installed. So maybe the update already worked.
You can check this by looking into the settings tab => Strings. If you'll find an entry "Body Simulation" you already have version 1.1.

Hi dynamitec, thanks for answering,
I'm on PC, I located the original files, overwritten them with the new ones and it still doesn't work, there is no Body Simulation entry. Here's what I've replaced: Electri6ity_info.nkx, Electri6ity_info.nkc and folders Instruments and Multis
