Receptor vs. Brainspawn Forte 2

I have been happily gigging with my receptor rev c, and I'm looking for a backup in case of a disaster on the road. I've decided to go with a laptop and Brainspawn Forte2, and a usb audio card to do the heavy lifting. It's lighter, cheaper, and will run all my windows vst's. Plus, if someone kicks out the powercord onstage, I have hours of battery backup in the laptop. The choice seems to be a no-brainer. Are there any naysayers?

I used Forte as my PC host for quite a while. It was a very logical host for live performance. At home, my needs were going the way of 'offload processing for a DAW". 'Vienna Ensemble Pro' became better suited as my PC host for this, and I stopped using Forte. I think if I were using a VST host live, Forte would still be the choice.
As a backup for receptor, about the only thing Forte and Receptor share in common is that they are hosts, and they have some kind of scene mechanism.
My $0.02, FWIW,
Kevin L

...and just another 2c, I own both Forte and Cantabile. I prefer Cantabile for a number of reasons, including its built-in midi player and sample players that can easily be programmed to be controlled by various midi events. Way cool. It also has built-in automatic jbridging support for 32 bit VST's if you install the 64 bit version.

Forte has rewire support just rewire to reaper or ableton or other host for midi player or sample player I haven't found an app that has the stability of forte.
