nah I mean the cool kids all bang on about Zebra, VAZ etcttoz wrote:rp isn't in the cool kids camp in general you mean?? i thought it was the opposite, mr Papen is very well known and respected no?
or did you just mean the verb?
RP is VERY well respected though, and rightly so.

Just bumping this thread because RP-Verb is outstanding. All this talk other Aether got me excited about finding a new 'verb so I demoed around. While I think Aether is more successful in imitating actual spaces I think RP-Verb blows it out of the water when it comes to lushness and warmth (to my ears anyway). I never really liked Papen's synths so I wasn't expecting to like it but I'm blown away by how nice it sounds.
I'm surprised that there isn't more talk about it in the forums. I guess tehlord is right when he said RP isn't in the cool kids camp. He's bigger than the small guys (2CAudio) but smaller than the big boys. I guess he falls into that middle ground where nobody seems to be passionate one way or the other.
Anyway, RP-Verb is

yes, that would be full stereo.Echoes in the Attic wrote:>snip<Is it full stereo? (Ie. if you send a track fully panned left to a send with RP-Verb, will you get reverb back only on the left channel?)

Got the RP-Verb yesterday after hearing the audio demos and checking the demo.
It's so friggin' awesome. Again, an RP product has me faszinated and in awe.
yet who cares. I know what I got with my RP products, I'm a total fanboy .g.
Just love that RP sound.

Yeah, sometimes got me wondering about that as well.parma wrote: I'm surprised that there isn't more talk about it in the forums. I guess tehlord is right when he said RP isn't in the cool kids camp. not true.hibidy wrote: Odd though since RP verb is C/R
it's a simple serial.
you don't even need to register it at RP's website.
I got my serial in a mail after buying at audiomidi and it was all I needed to get the product running.
no offense, but please do some research before posting such bogus info...

so you did some research, but were fooled by outdated information on the KVR database.hibidy wrote:Interesting. I guess RP needs to change this then?

No offense
my apologies !
Since that is not his own website, I guess that KVR is responsible themselves for posting false info in the databse, not RP himself
If I am not mistaken, all RP products are only serial number protection these days.
At least the ones I have (three synths and RP-Verb/RP-Delay) only require their serial number to be activated.
That is really good, since I have two mobile systems and one studio system and none of them are connected to the internet.

I have 3 RP products and could have sworn I used C/R, so color me confused. Was a bit taken back by what you said though especially since I was just joking around anyways
Anyways, how bout back on to how good it sounds instead?
Lush could easily be one way to describe it. And have you gotten into that delay?

Has anyone demoed the new Softube TSAR-1 Reverb. Was thinking of buying it just from hearing the samples on the site - until i saw this thread.

hibidy, you WERE correct. The database isn't wrong, just outdated. RP recently SWITCHED to serial protection, but did indeed use the Syncrosoft dongle and/or elicenser, and if you haven't updated, you may still be using that method.hibidy wrote:I have 3 RP products and could have sworn I used C/R, so color me confused. So you're not crazy, and not sure why you were jumped on. It's not "bogus" info or anything like that. It's just out of date info that could have been politely corrected, that's all.
Color me annoyed tonight, sorry.
