Could someone tell me what the lock icons(on the tree view)do and what they would be useful for?

They should protect objects from beeing selected by clicking / dragging a frame around them with the mouse in the graphics window - but this does not always work (I have at least one project where I can't select anything with the mouse by a frame anymore, even the locks are off).Dunks wrote:Could someone tell me what the lock icons(on the tree view)do and what they would be useful for?

Thanks WOK, I tend not to click/drag so not much use to me then.WOK wrote:They should protect objects from beeing selected by clicking / dragging a frame around them with the mouse in the graphics window - but this does not always work (I have at least one project where I can't select anything with the mouse by a frame anymore, even the locks are off).Dunks wrote:Could someone tell me what the lock icons(on the tree view)do and what they would be useful for?

Hi, I am having an excellent time with this amazing tool! I wish I would have started learning it earlier. I am using it for making theme images for REAPER and I have a slight problem with the color system.
When I chose color 255 0 255 for pink, it exports the image as the pink being 254 0 254. Is this a known issue?
REAPER uses the specific 255 0 255 to deal with stretching locations, so I need it exact. Either way, thanks a million for this awesome product!

I had a quick try - exporting a pic with one object or background pink as PNG gives exactly 255 0 255 for it as set in Skinman.Pipelineaudio wrote:Hi, I am having an excellent time with this amazing tool! Is your Fill Alpha and Master Alpha set to 100?

Ahh thanks! OK they were set to 100, but it gave me an idea, your post fixed it! I moved the two pink lines to the furthest bottom layer and it worked perfect!WOK wrote: I had a quick try - exporting a pic with one object or background pink as PNG gives exactly 255 0 255 for it as set in Skinman.

Ahh bummer, spoke too soon. When there are a large number of pink lines, like 8 or so, it still goes back to 254 instead of 255 even if the lines are last. Some of them work some of them dont

Hey, thanks for your help!WOK wrote: Maybe they are too thin and you did not turn of Anti-Alias?
OK, reaper needs to see it as exactly 1 px wide
Can you see if I have anything set wrong in this picture?

Still having an issue with the pink lines changing color. If you chose "transparent background" when you export the pink color changes
Here is an example. Perhaps I am still doing something wrong
