I also moved on.
None of my IK products is installed on my new system.
Sampletank, Amplitube 3 and the TRacks have been replaced by contenders who already are 64 bit. Only IK plugin I sometimes miss is Opto.

thinking about it, I might as well sell some of my licenses, since I don't wanna install c/r software anymore anyhow.

Peter didn't promise anything here. He told what the targets were. He said that T-RackS would follow AmpliTube 3, and that is still the schedule. AmpliTube 3.5 will be 64-bit, and it is only a few weeks away. T-RackS will follow not too far behind. It is not "a ways off" and as far as I know, Peter has not said it is. Again, no firm date on T-RackS, but it is coming in the not too distant future.

Now that is great news, thanks! :D

Any ideas about T-Racks 3 DeLuxe?
No firm date yet, it will have to come after upcoming product launches, so still a ways off. But it is on the radar.
Sigh... :-(

I guess it will be another year or two before I use t-racks again.
IK always seems to be putting new product launches ahead of supporting existing customers. :(

This is from this thread, BTW: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 6&start=15

for my own workflow at the present time, 32-bit is a bit of a workaround. using a 64-bit host (I use Vienna Ensemble Pro, which is a touch more stable, ie., 100% here, in x64 than 32-bit) means less project management.
Less project management = more time making music = happier projects = better music at least potentially.

I think you may have misinterpreted what I meant. I apologize for the misunderstanding. When I said "a ways off" I simply meant not likely this quarter. But definitely this year!

We've got AmpliTube 3.5 coming in a few weeks from now with the LAUNCH of the Custom Shop, and it is going to be HUGE! It will revolutionize the way you try and buy software amps. Our partnership with Ampeg & Fender was only the start...

We have some mobile product launches coming very soon. even before AmpliTube 3.5. So when I'm talking about upcoming product launches, think in terms of weeks, not months.

You say above it's on schedule, which implies you have a schedule for t-racks x64. Can you share your target date?

Post

I was a bit of a latecomer to IK products, but have to say I love using Sampletank, Miroslav and especially T-Racks... and this is "bridged" on a 64 bit system.

I bought them, I love their sound, and with the help of a $21 utility -jBridge- they work just fine. (For some DAWs, their built in bridge is enough).

Seems to me if you can just drop a product that easily, maybe it wasn't for you in the first place -- call it one too many impulse (group) buys...?

Early Q2.

Post

Early q2 is great. Much better than 'a ways off' ;)

Flugel: I have jBridge too. Prefer to go native now. Just works better.

Well, I wasn't arguing that point... I look forward to the 64 bit native myself. Just saying the current status wasn't stopping me from using them, and I just don't get the "I took them off my machine" attitude. That's all.

Post

I didn't take them off my machine, I just didn't install them on my new machine :-D. Semantics are everything.

I am a T-Racks singles customer, but I'm not ONLY a T-Racks singles customer. My mixes sound good with or without them and they never worked THAT well jBridged. You can listen to a completely non-T-racks mix here: http://lightsfadelow.com/track/cold

You should hopefully understand that a change like this would have to be rolled in with major updates and/or a group of updates and we do have and update for T-RackS 3 coming. However, it has some major components so it will be release end of Q1 2011.
