susiwong is not just gone AWOL (pretty sure he would be loving the 70's neck-thru one). Its ISP problems for him/company trying to screw a guy over for no reason for a change  and i am sure he will be back when it is all sorted again if anyone was/is wondering FWIW

Is that what is going on with susiwong? :( :(

I don't think that 8 string has a Floyd actually... the bridge just looks a bit like one.

And for me? I might buy this ESP Vintage Strat Plus... relic'd black, maple fingerboard.

That, or THIS:

Well, I suppose the happiest story of all is that this search is really making me appreciate my current amps. My Blue Angel is still the grail and my silly little Peavey Vypyr 60 absolutely nailed BB King's tone for me on a gig I played on Saturday. What's funny is I've gone back to a bunch of amps I previously loved, including my Hiwatt and Groove Tubes, and it's clear that my standard for quality has gone up significantly with that Blue Angel.

Currently i am having good fun again with my Vox AD100VT valvetronix head, The 'models' on it actually complement the amps i have if ran together but sound decent on their own. They have done the lastest valvetronix+ combos (not the nasty metal grille ones, newer than those) and i am looking forward to giving one of those a go. The original version head i have likes a good overdrive before it also which makes it even more useable. If the latest ones (combos only AFAIK) do the same i will probably go for one. So i can see the Vampyr being not so silly at all if they take pedals well (Can not say the same for many other amp modelling combos like the Line 6 spiders for example *not including the spider valve models but still for the money...Meh*

Also the 6505+ 1x12" combos are going for £449 over here new, instead of the £499 RRP now, which is again good stuff. Hopefully i will snag one for £400

That would make sense, they did an Edge III bolted down on the Mick Thompson MTM-1 and MTM-2 6 string models, So it feels like an Edge and has the fine tuners but no arm and i would think it would make sense to do the same for a seven and eight string. The Scheter i tried which was an eight string had a 7ender like hardtail bridge, it felt OK but a bolted Floyd/Edge or a tone pros would feel much more sturdy for palm muting chunk IMHO. Would like to try that one if it does have an 'EdgeFX' (Ibby talk for the fixed Edge III) on the 8-string :hyper: but skint
