Well good stuff mate, do not know what all these days/sale excuses are all about (black friday, presidents sale...etc.) but they sure do seem to bring with them some really good deals...England/UK needs more holidays like that already

Well seems to be just about right then if you paid £800 for it
I shall upload something as soon as i have actually done something with it instead of just playing it
I already programmed a drum track with a meshuggah-like feel so hopefully i will be able to fit something over it
Edit: Sorry hibidy i mean $800 which is a good price for a prestige for sure

If it wasn't exactly what I wanted (and I'm pretty sure it is) I'd not paid quite that much (still about 1100 after the discount)
But I wanted new, I wanted the hardtail, I wanted some funky SC action, but still have nice chunky HB too AND it had to be ibanez AND it had to be prestige.
The good news is that I'm pretty much set now........no seriously
Still don't know what to do about my strat though

Right i am with you now price wise. Admittedly am m totally rubish when it comes to currency conversion
and do not follow it. If its giving you the feel and playability then i would (If in your shoes) keep hold of it now. Minor cosmetic flaws/bits if it completes the other two you have already

So nice I have to post it twice:

I can't for the life of me figure out why this Prestige is selling so cheap:

@first one: I'm getting a link that says 1421, which is the other one I was considering. What I was told by quite a few people is that it shouldn't be called a prestige. Allegedly, the tuners are not very good, the PUPs are average and people have not been very happy with the fret job. Though I was pretty close to getting it (but I think I found it new for about 720??)Uncle E wrote:More Ibby drool material:

@Middle two: I'm going to have to ban myself from even looking at ebay. I'm just not good enough of a player to justify how many guitars I've owned/own

I think the last one is cheaper due to the three distinct chipped areas in the last picture. Still a total bargain at that price!

My favorite Prestige has a maple top and mahogany body but, like this one, has a flame maple laminate on the very top. I wish they wouldn't do that.hibidy wrote:@first one: I'm getting a link that says 1421, which is the other one I was considering. Very astute observation!!!@1570:, it's cheap because it's missing strings silly

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.
